You can't exit the Heartstone client without it freezing down and being unresponsive, the spectator mode is bugged in multiple ways, the ingame chat/friend list is horribly designed and full of bugs, there's been the floating card issue around for years, and the causeless disconnects which keep coming back time after time... Not to mention how heavy and clunky the client is in general, or the horrible, HORRIBLE reconnecting system.
I just lost 2 arena games not too far from each other because the client decided to disconnect me for 2 minutes for absolutely zero reasons whatsoever, my connection was perfectly fine meanwhile everywhere else. I know for people who pump hundreds of dollars into Blizzard's most expensive game each expansion this would mean nothing, but for those who get their gold and packs partly by self-sustaining arena runs, having a 4-0 or 2-2 matters and it's f*ckin annoying that Blizzard stole those from me.
Why can't they fix any of these? With around 50 million monthly active users and - what one can assume - a sh*tload of money generated just from Skillstone, why does it take weeks and months and years to get something solved, if solved at all? Just to take the first example, the game client freeze when you try to exit: it's a pretty serious and annoying problem, been there for weeks, why wasn't it fixed already?
But hey, sure, take this 1+GB patch with a few text updates in it, that's what's most important.

Anyone would have already quit this game with my unluck.
Spectator was and is working fine for me. The client didnt crash or freeze in quite a long time and also works ok. It doesnt lag or anything. It also doesnt freeze when quitting the game. Chat works fine except for the sync between the app and ingame, but its far from horrible. I also havent seen the floating card bug in a long, long time. And unless you are really unlucky (and Blizzard is having a bad day) or your internet is terrible, the reconnection feature works ok. Also never lost arena to a disconnect
The crashing while exiting bug is new since Un'Goro. Happens to me every time. Not a major inconvenience though.
I haven't noticed any more disconnects than usual lately. But i agree that the mechanism they have implemented for reconnecting to games is clunky at best.
Many times I've been stuck on the screen where it says it's resuming the game but it just hangs there and my only option is to kill the app. Very annoying.
The short version is that programming is hard, networking is hard, and maintaining servers that administer millions of copies of a game is hard.
Doing all of that while also finding and fixing unexpected problems that are usually the result of an interaction between several different pieces of code that are designed and run by different people in seemingly unrelated parts of the system? That's reeeaallly hard.

I'm not saying some of these happen every time. Consider yourself happy if your client doesn't freeze, I asked 4 people on my friendlist and all have this same problem. Chat is bugged in a lot of ways, it's really difficult to add/remove friends, and sometimes when you click on a name another chat windows pops up and you send your message to the wrong person.. also the synching you mentioned, I can't even send messages to people who are not ingame, and if they send links, I have to open the app seperately to click it. These are all just small details that I assume wouldn't be that horrible to fix with one of the bigger updates. Reconnecting is really slow and sometimes doesn't even work, basically you are guaranteened to miss at least a turn unless you are really lucky, and the floating card bug also comes up at least once every 1-2 months, even more annoying than the random disconnects.
To sum up, just because you are so lucky that these problems barely occur to you, it doesn't mean they don't exist.

It shouldn't be that hard to have a reliable way to reconnect to a dropped game.
And it shouldn't matter how many people are working on different parts of the system, the code should still work. It's called Unit Testing. Every time you merge a feature branch in source control, all the unit tests run for the entire application. So you should immediately know if one person's change has broken another person's code.
That all happens before the QA team goes anywhere near it.
Granted, things sometimes slip through the cracks, it's just the way it is unfortunately.

I was not trying to deny that those things were happening, just that some clients may have that, not most of them. Actually today I started to have these issues. It is seems to be somewhat random
The game is literally unplayable for me right now, which really bums me out as this week's tavern brawl is one I really wanted to play a lot of. Besides the game being unresponsive on closing, I also consistently get stuck on the finding opponent screen, and my only option is to exit out. Doesn't matter what game mode, and it's really starting to piss me off.

Same here. The game is unplayable since ungoro, sometimes i'm forced to quit my match two or three times
Seems to be only some clients. Have been playing fine since last expansion.

Consider Gonzov one of the lucky ones...I still have issues. What a waste of a 1 gig update. Never had any issues before Ungoro.
