I have no idea why the feature where you can't lose stars at rank 20, 15, 10, and 5 were implemented. I guess that its to promote experimentation on ladder without worrying about dropping too many ranks; but whats the point of experimentation when every game doesn't last beyond turn 5 or 6 against quest rogue and pirate warrior.
Honestly I was better off conceding after every win at rank 20 in order to stay there so that I can test out the full extent of molten giant pally or dreadsteed lock etc.
Guess its my fault for climbing the ladder too fast, now all I see is the same shit over and over again at rank 10. I guess that I have to wait until the ladder reset next month so that other people can suffer too as I have.
Also, fuck casual mode. At no point during this game would I ever netdeck some cancer deck and tryhard on ladder like 95% of the rest of the playerbase. At no point during the game would I ever not try to bring something new and creative on the ladder.
As a player I don't really have a lot of standards. I don't expect to win every single game when I try something different or unusually but it gets really tiring when I have to sit through a 5-10 minute game trying my best to make my deck work knowing that my opponent is probably slobbering over their keyboard putting literally 0 thought or decision making during their turns and eventually giving this person free stars because they can only win games by playing some cancer deck and they got matched up with someone that actually has originality.
So yeah blizzard if you could please allow players to drop ranks beyond ranks 15, 10, and 5 that would be awesome. Players that try to bring something new and ingenius to the ladder are punished either way whether they lose stars or not.
New thread coming soon giving thought and ideas on features that would allow us to target and blacklist certain cancer archetypes during matchmaking.
I personally like the new system for the reasons that you've pointed out. However, as you keep losing you should start going against worse and worse opponents, even if they are in the same rank as you are.
If you are testing new deck brews, its actually a hard stress test for them in high rank, if they cant hanle the meta, then they are actually bad, and should be upgraded, trashed. If you are brewing for fun, then just play casual.

What kind of replies are you looking for exactly? Seems to me you're just upset with the game.

I stopped reading at "I was better off conceding after every win at rank 20."
Next season, you will have the chance to concede after every win at rank 20. Have fun.
