Winning is one thing, but stealing cards and thoughtsteal removal feels more frustrating than it should... As a druid player, I can't stand anymore getting Malorne thoughtsteal every 2 priest game...
Well Priest is strong but not at the point of nerfing,he can be beaten as easy as he beat you...Its fine right now but the most ppl seems doesnt see the 8 mana mind control..there was OP not now...
The problem with priest is the insane amount of card advantage they get and how almost every single creature they have gives this as well as their hero power. For instance, simply trading cards with help from shrinkmeister provides instant advantage. Stealing creatures w Shad madness or Cabal gives insane card advantage at times. Then, once you see yourself having a small window, sorry but 4 dmg aoe and they have a creature on board. Ever wonder why you die horribly when they get those Legends from thoughtsteal? It's not because of the legend, it's because of the 3 for 1 they got with their blademaster. It's the tremendous swings they can get with holy nova, etc etc. People bring up how they can't just pressure the board and I don't know why. They don't need to and that would actually make them lose. There is a reason their games are 20 mins.
I also think the reason people rage so hard vs them is you try to out-answer them but don't do that. It's impossible and you are playing into their game. It's the same reason you don't try to control a control warrior (unless you're pally). You will lose. What is the alternative? The only one is try to win the game in the 1st 8 turns. This creates a feeling of games being out of your control. Basically, either they have the answers (usually do) or they don't. It should be easy to see how this is rage inducing.
I should also add that control warriors card advantage primarily comes from their weapons which can be played around and they lack the aoe that priest does (which is another rage inducing fact). There is almostno possible way to play around priest combos without just losing the game. Think about it. You have to win quick (relatively) and therefore need to either have big creatures on your board (handlock/druid) or flood the board and pray for no AOE (hunter/zoo). Now that they have answers to handlock, druid might be the only class that you can consistently beat priest with (actually miracle too).
tl:dr = priest get borderline-unfair card advantage. Play ramp druid with 4 attack creatures or miracle.
The second i get my 4/6 spectral knight permanently taken from me is when i concede from a two card combo thats easy for priest to get. Not from OPIMBA rage, but from such a major loss of tempo that there isn't any way you can come back from it as the next turn youre facing a 4/5, 3/2 and 4/6(or whatever they took). Considering Shrinkmeisters intended use, it should cost more for what it is going to net you 100% of the time. The priest was basically given another mind control but at less mana. We all know priests don't need to MC your big creatures as they just have SW:death for those to gain advantage.

Exactly my point. Thoughtsteal isn't good because of what it gets, it's good because a play like this will take everything you have in your hand to deal with it (if you can) which leaves no answer for dealing with a sylv/rag/alokir/etcetcetc. AND IF YOU DO manage to somehow deal with that and plop down a rag of your own..sorry but mind control/concede.
To be honest as much as I hate Priest Mind Control/late game plays rarely bother me. I know that if I haven't won by turn 8 or 9 against Priest, my odds of beating them are astronomically low and I usually just concede. One of the good things about a solid devotion to aggro-style decks and tactics.
Things are getting more mid-range for me with GvG, though. And for a lot of people, I imagine. Priest may go from my least played class to displacing Warlock as my most-played class, because ultimately I want to win efficiently and consistently and the "new" Priest is just very impressively strong.
I agree, have said it in other threads Priest is both the least fun class to play and the least fun to play against. If people hadn't whined so much about Miracle, rogue would be keeping Priests honest right now but with all of the Miracle nerfs there is no hard counter and they are free to roam the ladder unscathed. Good job whiners, you reap what you sow.
Having said that I still believe Handlock is slightly favored in the match-up.
Damn my thread from when I was just a nooblet is seven pages now. I dont even agree with this thread that much now. If I had discovered deathrattle hunter/it existed at time, this would have been a furious rant on a whole different level lol. I just avoid playing priest
I can't stand PrI can't stand Priest because they're everywhere in casual. I don't mind playing against Randuin, but all I got was F-ing Control Priests, every single F-ing time in casual.
How about y'all just try playing different decks and testing the matchups instead of stubbornly sticking to one deck and crying about its counters. Try playing Priest and figure out the archetype's weaknesses, and adapt your decks to exploit them. Basically, unless you're a Paladin player (please buff Paladin!), you have no reason to complain about anything. This applies especially to Hunter and Zoo <snip>

Be there, or be squared!

Saturday will be the first day where I finally have a little bit of time to play more serious since exp release.
Priest seems pretty good atm, Ill try that out.
Calling anything OP is a bit too early imo, so give it some time and let ppl figure out the best decks and counters.
