OK I know there are lot of threads talking about how Jade Idol is broken, but that's not what I'm here to talk about.
I'm here to ask how you feel about what this expansion feels like when you compare it to others when they were released. Now I know people have complained about it for different reasons, but I have notice something which I felt was a bit odd.
So far when a new expansion has came out, the cards have been so powerful that people wanted to get their hands on the new cards as fast as possible. Because of that, it meant that you either have to create a deck to combat these better cards or you had to buy some packs in the hope to create a deck that you could complete with others with.
But as I have been playing lately, I have notice some players are still using the same cards as they did before this expansion and what's weird is that they are still seem OK playing these decks even against some of the newer crafted decks.
Now some may see this is a bad thing, but if people don't want to get these newer cards, does that mean the game is becoming more balanced? It's very quick to say that the Jade Golem effect is too powerful and don't get me wrong I can see why some are saying that. But if there are some who feel OK playing the same decks they used to play, even though the newer cards could be useful to them, does that mean Blizzard has created a expansion that's better than some of the other expansions that have came out?
Now I may be the only who thinks like that, but do you think the point I'm trying to rise is right, or do you feel I've completely overlooked something? Either way I would like to see what others are thinking at this moment in time.

What??? Dude, please, it's pretty obvious this people are just trying to take adventage from players trying experimental decks (and of course, there are also some of them that probably didn't buy MSG packs just because they have no gold and don't want to expend real life money).
This is my fist expansion since starting hearthstone, but from what I see this is going to typical of most TCG expansions-there will be one or two new viable tier 1 decks to play, but other then the handful of cards that are good enough to swap into existing decks not much will change until the older sets rotate out. I play tempo mage mostly, and there just isn't much from this expansion that's worth using over the cards already in the deck. Give it a few weeks and let the meta sort itself out and that might change (I anticipate needing to switch in AOE over single target elimination spells like arcane blast), but don't expect existing good decks to suddenly become worthless.
what i like about this expansion so far is that there are no clearly broken stand alone cards, the ones that are strong are only so in a deck that is tailored to take advantage of either that card or a theme as such i feel that there is a lot of designing space to be tested and there is another lot of refining left to do. So i think that this expansions is actually quite good and as always we will have to wait to the meta to settle down before claiming something is broken though pirate warrior seems quite strong at the moment and jade druid is too(not my personal experience against the deck, i've actually not lost against one yet)
Fun cards, awful meta. Literally facing face warrior after face warrior (played 15 games in the afternoon, 11 warriors) . Things are slightly better right now, but ugh.
i like the deckbuilding aspect of it, it is so challenging to make a balance deck given the mechanics of each gangs, while at the same time make it viable in the meta
All of the new tri-class card sets are so awesome, those cards/themes alone make this expansion fun. Right now I'm playing jade midrange shaman to great success, I plan on giving a more control style jade druid a try. However, Buff hunter seems fun with cards like rat-pack, Don Han'Cho and Dopplegangster. Plus, control priest seems like the most interesting deck with all the great cards it got this expansion.
All in all, really fun! Just hope Jade idol combo decks are etched more against anti-aggro. Seems lame that they obliterate control but don't stand a chance against aggro, I understand rock paper scissors balancing but if Hearthstone contained multiple control warrior-freeze mange matches it would lose a lot of its flair.
I like the new cards but so far there are not many different decks out there. Sure, some people are trying out stuff but I got crushed by Pirate Warrior and Dragon Priest so far. I tried a few decks and had most success with a reno priest, it worked quite well but still not consistant enough. I hope things will change up a bit and that we will see some difference in the meta. It's hard to have fun at HS when you are basically forced to choose from 3 decks if you want to rank up.
Pre-expansion MAlygos rogue: got a little bit salty with all jade druids killing my Renod eck and decide dot one shot people with a slower game plan..worked wonders, i won all my Rogue, games first day, even the one against goon hunters which turn out are just a slower version of mid-range hunter (tbh you can just ignore goons and add Rat pack and Alleycat to a mid-range hunter and it'll be more effective).
Jade Rogue: completely outclassed by any version of Jade Druid, even thsoe that just want to play on curve golems without resorting to the miracle play.
Jade mid-range shamman: it's basically the same broken core of mid-range shamman so sometimes opponents just don't realize you are playing Jade shamman until you lethal their faces with jade lighting.
Goon control Warrior: Gimicky but super fun when pulled off, 15/13 enraged grommash ftw, and i don't even own Don and wasn't even playing informant, so it could have had the potential of going 20/18 if i owned or discovered him.
Renolock: Sooo much Aoe @_@
Murloc Goon paladin: Smorc, SMorc, smorc, kill Jade decks, not as impressive as i thought it'd be but definitely not as bad as other people thought it'd be.
Pirate warrior: had a quest, wanted gold, wanted a pack and was kind of tired of being Jaded, it's powerful but runs out of steam pretty quickly and is top deck reliant.
Reno Mage: i got suuuuper mixed results with this deck, the Kazakus and Solia combo are as rare as Brann+c'thun, and kazakus while a lot of fun is not that impressive and has rng that can absolutely screw you, they should just get rid of that ingredient of adding random demons to your hand so that you could get useful ingredients more often. it's super painful to see that random demon ingredient alongside two other ingredients you don't exactly need, then pick a subpar solution to the current situation just to see that blasted random demon effect taking what might have been an useful effect's slot (seriously the amount fo time i've needed AoE or armor i've gotten screwed by that blasted random demon effect) again in the second effect. Solia can also be a dead card a lot of the time because you have already spent spells worth casting with her before even drawing her.

Wow nice to see someone trying a lot of different decks. I have to agree with Control Warrior, it's not the easiest of deck, especially against some of the newer decks.
I did try to make a C'Thun Control Deck with the addition of newer cards... let's just say it's a work in progress.

My Entry for this week's Card Design Competition - Season 8.16:
I have been back and forth on it. I think I like this expansion overall.
It really shakes up the meta which is the most necessary thing for an expansion to do.
Jade Decks are only an issue if they make control unplayable, I was worried they would but now I am not so worried so it's fine.
It looks like Dragon Reno Priest and Reno Warlock are tier one so that is really cool. Those are cool decks with a lot of variations.
I really hate the other tier deck Face Pirate Warrior. That is mainly why I am back and forth, Jade is whatever, but this monster is a cancer on my soul. There are WAY too many games where you're just dead and there is no way you could have won.
I think Jade is solidly tier 2 until someone figures out how to really make it strong and not get blown out by faster decks.
I personally haven't put any money into this expansion so I have been playing a Midrange Shaman. I run Strifecro's list it is the most fun because it offers a lot more skill and choice then some of the more aggressive lists out there. I am also using Street Trickster and one Primal Fusion. Two totems and that becomes a 2/9 with spell damage even with Flametongue it is 2/7 which is pretty sweet. I have a decent win rate. I can usuall kill Jade Druid just when they start getting 5/5s and 6/6s so right before it is too late. lol. Some have been running the 6-health guy to help deal with Pirate Warrior but I don't see them at my rank. Which is pretty terrifying because that means they ranked up mad fast.
Most efficient deck to ladder with is aggro shaman w/ pirates. It has a good matchup against pirate warrior (it has aoe and taunts), jade druid (face is the place).
Naxx was by far the most enjoyable set for me. Loatheb is still my favorite card. That was back when they could put out well designed cards that made for interesting interactions with one another.
I've already lost faith in the amount of f*cks Blizzard really gives about competitive play, seeing as they thought making Yogg was a good idea. Then, to add insult to injury, they nerfed it after copious amounts of complaints, only to make cards that were even MORE random in nature in the new set anyway.

NEED HELP
Opened 50 packs.
On the 3rd pack I got, Golden Don Han'Cho
The other 4 legendaries I got were Madam Goya, Finja, Genzo the Shark, and Auctionmaster Beardo.
Should I dust the 4 or will they be useful after the gadgetzan hype?
