posted a message on New expansion worth spending money on?

Its relatively "good" value so far, the last time they sold packs with value attached like this was in Boomsday Project. If you'll be buying, it depends on how you get fun out of hearthstone, if you like to build decks and have fun in general, I think this is a good expansion as I believe they will introduce lots of archetypes but the power level overall will be average at best. From the quests, to Mogo Cultists or Basilisk, lots of tools are available to make different archetypes. But again, the power level will be average.

If you want to grind to rank 5 or legend, buying the pre-order will at least get you to craft the best deck in the game that will eventually show itself once the meta stabilize. But this is a path I do not recommend to casuals. Especially new ones.

Hi! thanks for the list, some people might be unlucky with the draws. but this deck really works!

got to rank 7 2 stars to rank 5 with like a 5 game + winstreak just before this season ends. i admit, i got lucky with some draws like drawing Mossy or Blood Knight against a T5 giggling, or a dreadlord against a board of 1 health minions or a fungalmancer to push my board. the idea of 1 copy of different 5 drops has indeed its use especially in a varied meta we have right now.

posted a message on Three New Cards - Supercollider, Flobbidinous Floop, Whizbang

i would argue that druid being a strong class created the healthy meta this xpac, all of a sudden it makes other classes viable like Warrior (no token druid or taunt druitd, taunt warrior with cornered sentry wouldnt exist at all), it makes rogue even more relevant, also big spell mage. it made shudderwock shaman relevant in the meta because sometimes druid decks sometimes play like a slow control deck when they dont get ramp into UI. Recruit hunter has decent matchups vs drood. But yes, I agree it has some broken mechanics like burst armor, insane card draw, and ramp that makes it too flexible as a class.

also, Floop is gonna make druid malygos combos even more consistent. i can just simply slam it as a tempo 4/12 to make the opponent pee on his pants. if the opponent does remove it, I can make a new maly with Floop and Faceless Manipulator combo the next turn and do at least 2 moonfires with it. if I run alex and DK Malfurion, that could be potent 3 turn lethal set-up.

posted a message on Has Hearthstone always been this aggressive?

surprising to say, this meta has been the least aggro, and more control it has ever been. Even the dude Paladin and Murloc Paladin considered the best aggro decks are not aggressive or hyper aggressive like the Pirate Warrior, Aggro Shaman, and Face Hunter of the previous meta. Dude Paladin and Murloc Paladin are more midrange decks, but the problem is when they highroll from turn 1, then snowball from there they can feel like strong aggro decks.

Secret Mage is close to being a pure aggro deck when they have the turn 1 Mana Wyrm into Arcanologist/Sorcerer's Apprentice into Kirin Tor Mage + Secret. But without a high roll start, it feels like a faster combo deck/that fights for board control until they draw Aluneth similar to Freeze Mage that relies on burn for a finish.

posted a message on New Rogue Card Reveal - Cursed Castaway

The context you are evaluating the card in based on a Miracle Shell, of which this card is definitely inferior to Gadgetzan Auctioneer.

But if you played more minion based rogue decks like deathrattle rogue, this card is kinda what it needs without forcing itself to put Prep, Backstab, Evis to be somewhat viable. This can allow Rogue deck who play deathrattle to focus on putting more minions to gain extra value from cards like Roll the Bones or the Onyx Spellstone. It can also allow minion based rogue decks to fight for board somewhat, and some card advantage.

this a good card definitely, Rush trades especially favorables ones leaving a minion on the board benefits rogue more than warrior or hunter.

posted a message on What's on Your Hearthstone Wishlist for 2018?

more interesting mechanics for hunters that lets it become a combo class.. others classes gets a cool way to do OTKs (e.g. Raza Priest, Maly Druid, Freeze Mages, Galvadon Paladin), or play some insane combos (4x doom guards with Warlock, Rogues with the Kingsbane, and mill and miracles decks, Totem Shaman), or just a unique mechanic (Dead Mans Hand Warrior, Ramp Druid, Aggro Paladin with Valanyr and Call to Arms).

right now hunter is just stale at being aggro, midrange, or secret class.

Big Hunter with Katrena is fun to play with. Spell Hunter is on the right track, but its simply a midrange deck but you play spells instead of minions (e.g. T1 candleshot T2 secret, T3 animal comp T4 flank t5 spellstone, t6 on my side, etc. For spell hunter, it needs a yogg-like effect but has the hunter flavor.

To make quest hunter viable, hunter needs a combo mechanic like rogues that triggers off playing with cheap beasts, instead of spells. Or maybe buff the quests to trigger at fewer beasts.

DK Rexxar is fun card, but I think the zombeast could be buffed by reducing their costs by 1 mana without breaking the game to make it a viable archetype.

Hunter is weirdly one of the classes that don't need minion cards to win. Spell based hunter wins with simply hero power, UTH, animal companions, eaglehorn bow charges, and finish them with kill command.

such a good card for razakus shadow priest! it gives you so much time, and easily deal with any board something dragonfire hasn't been able to do because of Cobalt Scalebane and Big Priest and Druid Dragons
