Just read the following from the hearthpawn front page, anyone taking advantage of this deal? There are some mixed reviews on Amazon.
Amazon Coins Deals is Back
We previously erroneously stated the promotion was for 30% coins back. We were misinformed regarding the deal. This deal requires installing the Amazon Underground App Store on your Android device. You could also use an Android Emulator on PC. Deal is currently available to US Amazon account holders.
The infamous Amazon Coins deal is back which lets you get Hearthstone packs for big discounts when compared to the regular Hearthstone shop.
Three promotions are currently active that make this a super awesome deal:
10% Coins Spent are Credited Back - A Hearthstone promotion is active which gives you coins spent back to your Amazon account.
To take advantage of the deal, first you buy coins, then you open up Hearthstone which was downloaded via the Amazon Underground appstore, and then you buy your packs in the in-game shop! Super simple!
I use Amazon Coins for all my HS related purchases unless I have Google Play credit to spend. There are some minor annoyances: you have to buy coins in certain quantities, you can only use them on a phone or tablet, you have to get your one-click settings in order, and you have to install HS through the Amazon store (meaning if I want to use Google Play credit on HS I have to reinstall or use a different device). I feel like the big savings makes up for these little issues.

This. If you install BluStacks onto your PC you don't need a second device, and you can still use your Play credits on your phone. I bought 27 packs last night for $29. That's about $1.07 per pack, which is quite nice. Incidentally, I drew Tirion and Happy Rag from those packs.

How did you get 27 packs for $29?
Not the poster, but just trying to figure it out. Here's as close as I can get:
1. For $29.80 you can get 3500 coins (packs of 1000 and 2500 for $8.80 and $21.00)
2. Buy a package of 15 packs for 2000 coins and a package of 7 packs for 1000 coins. This leaves you with 500 coins plus 300 from the 10% back deal. 22 Packs
3. Buy 2 packages of 2 packs for 300 coins each. You get 60 coins back, so your balance is 260. This is 26 packs, and you're only 40 coins away from being able to buy another 2 packs, putting you at 28. So if your coin balance has even a little left over from before you can get up to 28.
Through Battle.net or Google Play you wouldn't even have been able to get the original 22 packs with $29.80.

Yes, pretty much. I had some coins leftover from the last promotion, so I just bought the initial 2500 coins and one or two sets of the 500 until I zeroed out my balance as best I could.
All the input is good. It appears that a few steps need to be taken just to make sure it works. I just didn't want to end up buying like 10,000 coins and not be able to use them on Hearthstone. Traditionally I have just been buying the largest quantity packs to get the best price per pack but it would be nice to buy in smaller quantities but get that same almost $1 per pack.
That's the dream $1 per 1 pack. I imagine a large portion of the player base would spend a few (or a handful) of bucks if they knew they were getting one pack per $1 spent.
I'm from South Africa and the Play Store recently switched to our local currency. I get 2 packs for R39 which is about 2.582 US Dollar (from Google - 1.25 dollars a pack) ... Even if I get Amazon coins (which I can't use) it still seems cheaper to get in rands...weird...
Also, for anyone with an android device, install Google Play Rewards. It's a survey app that gives you credits for taking tiny five second surveys. I get about $3 every couple of weeks or so, so it's almost like having a second Tavern Brawl without having to do anything.
Is this dead? The Amazon Coins discount has gone down to 10% off. Is the Hearthstone coins back promo even active now?
The coins back promo was still active when I bought some packs last night. You could try contacting Amazon support, I've heard they can be accommodating to people who just missed a coin sale
