Im doing bad maths or the pre-purchase its not worth it???
Let me show what i mean... Im doing the maths in argentinian pesos, you can do in dollars
The pre-purchase are 50 packs for 399 pesos if i add 7 more packs i have to add 79 pesos, so for the rigth sum of 478 pesos i got 57 packs
If i wait to WOOG go live i can purchase 60 packs for 479 pesos, like any other packs from the older expansions, so for the same amount i obtain 3 more packs...
The difference its because the card back?? its not worth it
I'm last the person to defend Blizzard but be glad that the exchange from U$S to ARS is not updated for Blizzard games, so this is bound to happen (probably they know but they keep it like this because otherwise most thing are stupidly expensive for us) I'm from Argentina too.
They must have messed up the Argentinian peso conversion, then, because the pre-order is not discounted at all. 50 packs for 399 and 60 for 479 are both 8 pesos per pack.
In Australian dollars (my currency), for instance, pre-order is 50 packs for $64.99 = $1.30 per pack. That's the same price as a regular 40 pack bundle. Regular 60 pack bundle is $84.99 = $1.41 per pack.
How much does 40 packs of an older expansion cost in Argentina?
I think a big part of the imbalance here is caused by buying a small quantity of cards (the 7 for 79) as well. When I look at the european shop it's 44,99€ for the preorder which is 50 packs and the cardback, when 40 packs normally would cost me 44,99€. It's a great deal tbh.
Edit: Just did some basic math, 60 packs for 479 and 50 packs for 399 basically cost the same per pack. I really don't see the problem here.
why do you insult the guy?? you are the one who checked math.. and then you insult him by calling his math both embarrassing and wrong.. get some manners
Sucks to be you then I guess? I mean 50 packs for $50 and a card back is a great deal in USD. Better than buying 40 packs for the usual 49.99 or 60 for 69.99..
thanks for the replies... make me think... and im going for the pre purchase, 50 packs its a really nice amount of packs, and with the oscillating value of the peso argentino maybe in 1 month its cost the double
Free is a funny word to use... You are literally paying for it... The discounted price is arbitrary to begin with... Who determined the value of a single pack for instance? The other factor worth considering is the card back, which is relevant for people who care about cosmetics.
the Pre purchase is a sweet deal, like the American $ computation its $1 per pack. You will have a cool cardback, a lot of cards (A few legendaries, if lucky), and a ton of dust to create whatever cards you need.
I pre purchased the TGT expansion last time and it was a good deal for me.
Blizzard doesn't set prices. They chose a "tier" for each purchase and the store (google play, apple store) does all conversions and sets the prices. You pay the store and blizzard gets money from them.

I'd take that cardback over 3 packs any day.

Its right the maths that you are doing but the problem is that i cant buy 1 pack, so its irrelevant what 1 pack cost
I can buy 60 packs when WOOG go live = 479 pesos
Or prepurchase + 7 packs + 2 packs (59 packs) = 502 pesos
For the australina guy, 50 and 40 cost the same amount of pesos, just like in Australia, but the problem its what i mentioned above
In USD it is discounted. $49.99 for 50 packs vs $49.99 for 40 packs.

I still think it's fine as a "starter" kit for the expansion. I never buy more than the initial preorder, I just grind the rest.
If you really want to buy more packs, skip the 7+2 and buy them 60 at a time.
Let me do the math in American $$:
Pre-purchase: 50 packs $49.99 = $1 per pack
After WOOG: 60 packs $69.99 = $1.17 per pack
The math is clear to me, pre-purchase is a deal for Americans.
OOOH, I SEE THE OP'S MISTAKE NOW!! You did this:
Pre-purchase = 50 packs $49.99 + 7 packs for $200 from Scumdog Scamfist = 57 packs for $249.99 is a bad deal.
Ya, of coarse, when you mix a good deal with a scam deal. Then the total package is going to look bad.

The prepurchase is a good deal.
You get 10 packs for free.

I paid $37 for this pre-purchase from Google Play. (currency difference <3)
I think that it really worth it now :D
In reais it's close to 30 dolars, as long as you don't buy it on your cellphone.
USA is just 50 for $50. Easy Breezy Cover Girl. Gets you basically all the cards and enough dust to craft something you didn't get.
