Is there any way to deactivate/reactivate the golden portrait after you've earned it? I'm not a fan of using golden cards/legend card backs, or any other "tell" that can give my opponent some reason to believe that I've been playing the game as long as I have. Although I do like the idea of playing as a golden hero, in serious tournament or ranked play I would want the option to turn it off.
I only really play a single class, so I only have 1 Golden Hero Portrait, and it will remain the only one. Warlock. 500/500, and 0/500 for all the rest. Dailies for another class are done in casual or arena.
I have a Golden Hunter portrait from predominantly playing as mid-range hunter since the Beta, ~75 wins with Warlock, ~50 wins with Rogue, and around ~50 with Mage. Trying to branch out to the other classes (still don't have all of the basic Warrior cards, for example, because I don't have the legendary cards needed for an effective Warrior deck...). Will likely focus on Warlock and Rogue for the foreseeable future.
How long have you guys been playing? I have been playing since beta, and played every season.
I don't understand how someone who has played since beta can not have all 9 golden by now. it's 4500 ranked wins for all 9.
If you played for 10 wins a day, over the last 15 seasons that would be enough for all 9. 10*30*15 = 4500
I have twice that plus some in ranked wins. But i never play casual and never play arena. I tried arena a few times and didn't care for it. Just took this SS after I typed the message.
I try to get my 30 wins a day or close to it at the least.
So close to full golden set, 56 wins to go. Proud of it because I did not farm newbies for it, just played regular and selected classes which I not had 500 wins yet. Managed to reach legend with every class on the way
I generally don't play ranked, to much OCD, haha. Mostly play casual with fun decks or arenas. But to answer the question.. I think my closest is druid about halfway, most of those wins go way back to when the game was newer, a handfull of other classes are floating around 5-20 wins.
My closest is Mage with around 300 wins, then Warlock with around 250 and my Hunter should have around 150 wins. All other classes are less than 100. Considering that i Play since closed beta it is not much. But honestly, i don't really care for golden portraits.
Golden Shaman here, when I hit 500 wins I turned almost all of my primary deck into gold cards :)

Maybe if I played the same hero non-stop.
To bad I have to swap it around to keep the playing fresh.

I'm not online, it's just your imagination
just discovered that you now can play your golden heroes in arena, does this mean you can also earn them in arena? if so, thank you blizzard!
