Everytime you play, just always think: what would Jesus do? And blizzurd should think that too and enforce that. By not having a report button, blizzard is squelching Jesus.
While I agree with the op, citing Kant on this matter is really stupid, for he died long before the computers received the breath of life. So we cant really know what he would say about hearthstone you know! If you have a masters I think you should know that. BAzinga!
I don't get all this. You have an option to Squelch.
I think if you care too much about BM, you should create the habit of auto squelching every single game. If somebody says they don't want to do that and complains about BM, I think they like it you know? All this BM drama. Kids.
There's already a way to report players. It's just that it takes quite a bit of hassle to do so. This is a good thing, since it stops frivolous reports like guy playing a few extra minions, and only have to deal with more genuine problems.

People who refuses to play aggro out of principle are even worse than people who play exclusively aggro.
One should seek to become a complete player and play all archetypes, including ones that he despises for whatever irrational reasons.
yes, but not for roping/BMing. squelch exists, and thankfully there's no 10 minute ropes like MTGO.
Friend adding to flame someone should be reportable. It's one thing to BM, it's another to cuss out or threaten another player.
(and before the 'but it's a game, deal' crew comes out, if you did this at a store or tournament for magic, you would be kicked out in a heartbeat, why shouldn't similar rules for respect exist here)

And you can report them. Just not in the game client.
Yes I can tell you what to do. I can't force you to though. People like you should be told over and over again that BM is not normal.
Look, I used to BM, I lost to BM, I won to BM. It's a personal choice whether to or not to BM. Emotes are just bubbles with text you can even remove(squelch), and taking a lot of time on his turn doesn't mean he is doing it on purpose (Lifecoach). And, honestly, I can't see why are you whining about it.
I don't think people should be reportable for using their emotes, or useing the full time allotted to them( roping). People befriending you only to spew salt should be reportable.
i know that sometimes is frustating to see that hunter just BMing you, but we are talking of hearthstone guys, if you don't like that kind of behavior, why would play a game that already BM you with RNG, bad draw, perfect draw (for your opponent), hearthstone is not a serious game, is a troll game, i've play this game since 2014, and i've a lot BM, but to me what makes me feel kind a bad is the fact that i lost a game because i didnt had the draw i was looking for, one more turn and i would have lethal, BM is part of the game, and when you see the emotes that your hero had, you see that this was something planing to be in the game since the beggining.
so my advice for people that lose their temper really bad, i just don't recommend this game, unless if you are capable to accept that, squelch and ignore that, i don't know, this game is trolling you 24/7 already.
It's truly remarkable how incomprehensible you are man.
You actually feel like you are being harassed by Hearthstone emotes is the same, or atleast comparable, to female sexual harassment.
When someone emote spams you do you feel so utterly violated that you lose a sense of self security? Your last inane post about being dutch and loving to tell people things illuminated alot more than just your inability to form salient thought, but also what appears to be an extremely fragile and vulnerable ego.
Sorry bud, but you've gotta tune yourself up a bit. What you're saying is bananas... Full on bananas.
I already autosquelsch people in every game, but there are still those players that think its funny or cool to overplay all their cards(and no they don't have quests to complete!!!) or wait for the rope to deliver the final blow, not to mention the guys that actually friend you to throw their salt in your face. I feel like I encounter more and more of these people every day, which makes me kind of sad. Its just rude and disrespectful and totally uneccesary. IRL sports you rarely see a player taunting the opposing players after winning a match, if they do it comes with a fine and a shitstrom in media. Its just bad sportmanship. So why should there be different rules for the online gaming community?
I feel like there needs to be a way to report people ... say after a person has been reported 10 times they just have to wait in the queue for an extra minute every game for the next 3 days or something like that ...
Now there will be people saying "its just BM get over it, don't be a crybaby" ... if you play with your friends sure, BM all you want. But on ladder you are playing strangers and the only reason to BM there is to make others feel bad. I don't think behavior like that should be tolerated or supported(also regarding some streamers that made this behavior somewhat "ok" and popular) in any way.
just my 2 cents, I like to hear if you guys agree. And what would be a good way to implement a system to punish BMers whitout there beeing a way to abuse it(wrongly accuse people).
I only BM assholes that play Facehunter and Sicret pally and i bet 90% of people BM just that scum of people that toxic the game environment. And if you play that decks all people that do it to you have my blessing.
problem is, Reporting someone will just be another form of BM. All the bad players that BM like crazy will just report everyone, and get people banned who never even did anything wrong.
I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I get spammed with friend requests at least a couple times a week, and all I do is log in to play my quests and thats it! After I decline a friend request, it pops up again, and again and again if I were to continue to hit the decline button. At first I thought it was a bug, but in reality it's an angry nerd who is sitting there spamming the friend request button over and over to try and get you to add them. Basically you have to block them. These nutcases are everywhere and deserve to be reported.
@WiseAsPlato If I may add something small to this discussion. Why should Blizzard remove the whole emote system just because you are too lazy to click the squelch button? Why should they remove it for your selfish reasons? Also, why should Hearthstone be like Chess? If you want something to be like Chess for example, why don't just play Chess then?
I was just wondering this and I hope you could give me some answers, keep it short though :D [Note: I haven't read the full discussion so sorry for ignorance]
It's now very common to hear people say, 'He BM'd me,I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so fucking what." -Stephen Fry on hearthstone
My issue with this whole thing is, you can't really be sure if someone is BMing. I say "Well Played" and "Sorry" all the time, but I don't do it to BM.

Always Squelch.

Well BM might be frustrating for the oposing player, but there's Squelch option for a reason. If you think BM is problematic just use it.
Great art can never be created without great suffering.

I would appreciate an option to squelch the emotes as well as the audio. Apart from that I think the game does not allow a lot of abuse anyway.
Of course I never ever accept friend requests. A possibility of reporting those abuses might be a good idea.
25 min against a mid range hunter, rope me every turn, Ultimate BM FailFish
RNG love me Kappa

I like to make cards and discuss game balance.
