Tell me any thoughts you might have! I love crafting budget decks for expansions haven't played in a hot minute - let me know if there's any deck that obviously clap this!
This would probably get rolled over by aggro decks, a Risky Skipper package could help. Scalerider and Sword & Board might do a bit of work early game but it's not going to be enough. Magescribe is too slow, Boom Squad is just a bad card. In the late game, you might get a crazy Kel'Thuzad turn once in a while but not consistently. Big fan of the Troulemakers though. The deck might benefit from making it Highlander to add some win conditions.

On paper at least, my take is that the armor value of Molten Breath, flexibility of Shield Slam (can just be weenie removal) and potential of Pen Flinger shenanigans and/or turn 1 Gan'arg will help the deck control and sustain the board early on as well as the aforementioned and that it will be enough against aggro. The obvious downside is that the removal is all single-target, but if there's consistent single-target removal going on then ideally AoE won't be optimal as often anyway. You're probably right about the Magescribes; although it'd be a pity to give up on them the obvious alternative would be Evasive Wyrm which is a nutty version of ye olde Argent Commander. I think one could replace the spellburst synergy entirely with a few more other dragons and dragon synergy cards if the spellburst isn't good enough of a payoff. We'll see how it goes or if further revealed cards break any archetypes.
Highlander is definitely an option here too! I'm glad I picked the free Mage deck haha.
