Hi All! I've got an idea for a new mechanic and race for cards in the game. Warmachines are a bit like weapons or vehicles for your minions to use on the battlefield. (Think of Equipment for any MtG players.)
My prototype for the concept is this Battering Ram:
The idea is that the card itself has no attack value, but you can use other minions to boost it (by simply targeting them to "attack" your own machine). The Battering Ram would then gain the combined attack value of those minions, attack, and your minions survive!
Practical Application: You have a Chillwind Yeti and Piloted Shredder on the board. Your opponent drops an Ironbark Protector and passes. You then play Battering Ram, have your minions target the Ram (using up their 1 attack for the turn), and the Ram gains their combined Attack strength (4+4=8). The Battering Ram attacks the Ironbark Protector, dies, but your minions live!

I think you're misunderstanding the mechanic. Your minions' attack is targeted at the Ram, thus using up their attack for the turn. Even with 2 Rams and 2 Giants, it's only 16 damage total, the same as 2 Giants alone.
2 Giants are on the field at the start of your turn. You play a 0/2 Battering Ram.
1 Giant targets the Ram, making it an 8/2.
The second Giant targets the Ram, making it a 16/2.
You play a second Ram, target it with the first ram, making it just another 16/2.
Hit target for 16. The Battering Ram lives if it hit face, dies if it hit a minion with 2 or more attack.
Giants are done with their turn.

Very interesting. So interesting, in fact, it may need the aesthetic of a legend! It's such a unique mechanic, while it may be balanced to have 2 in a deck, it's just too cool to not have that orange gem here.
It really might need a Legendary gem since the big game-breakers I just realized with it are Blessed Champion and Windfury. You could essentially combine ALL the attack strength on your board together and double it. Imagine the Battering Ram + Bloodlust + Windfury combos!
4 totems on board bloodlust windfury battering ram run all the totems into the battering ram and you get 24 points for 8 mana. thats if you have 4 0 dmg minions..... i like it

very op, you can do a 40 damage combo with 6 mana as a warlock. The only way to make this balanced would be if it could only be used on taunt minions.
How so? You're not actually adding any attack value that didn't already exist.

2x molten giants for 0 mana = 16 attack
first ram gets 16 attack from the 2 free giants
second ram gets 16+8 attack from the ram + 1 giant
both rams together charge at face for 40 damage

Perhaps also make the Ram untargetable by spells.
