I have to admit, when first coming into this thread I assumed it would be a mock thread.
"So I just opened a golden Dr. Boom, but I'm not sure if I want to keep it. And I never got a Gruul when I was opening original packs so thinking that might be a good investment."
If you were to keep a card on the basis that at some point it may get adjusted, this would be the one. I doubt it will be nerfed, but I obviously have no idea and neither does anyone else.
I would say the same thing I say about every disenchant:
If you need the dust to craft something you want to play with right now, go for it. Waiting for something that might happen to deny yourself the chance to play fun decks now is not worth it. If you don't need the dust right now, keep the card, you never know if it might get changed and give you more value then and there's no rush.
It is currently an auto-include so it will likely be adjusted. A DE will be very likely to cost you 1200 dust so unless you absolutely need that 400 dust and have no other way to get it, it's a bad idea.

I don't feel that a nerf is likely as the only strike against Dr. B is that he is widely played. This may be partly due to herd mentality and also, as Dinamar suggests, due to the fact that there is little competition at 7 mana.
Having said this, I rarely DE anything unless I am desperate for a certain card as they may, at some point, get nerfed. For this reason I am currently sitting on 9+ Antique Healbot in case Blizzard decides that Aggro needs buffing...

Well, if you need that 400 dust RIGHT NOW to craft something you want to play and don't have enough dust for it, then disenchant it. Otherwise just keep it until you need the dust ot it actually gets nerfed.
If u need the dust right now, do it. If not wait, the nerf uses to come at the end of the season, if u can wait a bit maybe you got more dust so the wait will be worth =)
This card is more of an auto-include that Leeroy ever was. It is almost surely getting nerfed sometime in the future. I would definitely hold onto it for at least another month. If it doesn't get nerfed by that time, then there's a good chance it won't be.
I for one am counting on it getting nerfed. I almost never craft cards. Instead, I'm saving up dust until it's equivalent to the amount of cards I'm still missing - then I plan to complete the set. However, because Boom is so much of an auto-include, and because I believe he's going to get nerfed, I crafted him. He is one of 3 legendaries I've crafted. The other two were Leeroy, for the exact same reason I crafted Boom and was subsequently DE'd after the nerf, and Sylvanas - but only after GvG came out and I stopped getting classic packs of cards.
I don't think he should be nerfed, but the chances of him being nerfed are probably around 70-80%. Worthwhile investment - unlike Antique Healbot............
Should I dust him now for the 400 dust? Or wait to get 1600 if/when he gets nerfed?
Do you think a nerf is incoming?
what do you mean by getting 1600 dust when he gets nerfed? I thought every legendery you dust only gives you 400 dust?
For a short time after they nerf a legendary they allow you to dust him for full dust cost to compensate you for ostensibly spending the dust on a card you might no longer want to use, given the alterations they made.

It's not just legendaries. Whenever they make adjustments to ANY card, they make it DE-able for full dust cost unless it is soulbound obviously. This way anyone that crafted it and no longer wants it after the change can get all of their dust back. I DE-ed a golden Flare for 800 dust when it got changed.
So I just opened a second Dr. Boom.

yes worse card

I would suggest DE'ing it because it's one less Doctor Boom blowing up my face.

That is total insanity.

Read the post, homie. He has two. Obviously no one's dusting their only Boom. Come on now.

This is your second right? WAIT FOR PATCHES! He will surely be nerfed, and you'll get full 1600 dust for him instead of the measly 400 youll get now.
If you're happy and you know it... well that's good :)

DE and buy a Mini Mage. You'll never look back.

The nerf wont be coming. In fact nobody runs boom anymore because everyone is running BGH. Theres no reason to nerf a card nobody plays.
