My guess is it's consistent and guaranteed vs control decks, since you can set up in advance to have it make multiple copies of itself go into your hand and get discounted.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
It's bad. That's why there is no delay in the whining.
And I mean it's too early to whine about power level (even if this 100% wins against any controlling deck).
The problem is the animation time. You play like 6 of these guys, all with murmering active. It takes ages. Like 5-10 of not doing anything.
I have been playing for a while, but this is batshit broken, uninteractive and destroys the game (for fun reasons not power level)
This. Also the knowledge that about a third of the decks out there right now are just netdecked otk's makes me loathe to try out any kind of fun new archetypes which I think is more a community issue, but still: this is a bad look for launch regardless of where Shudderwock ends up (I think it's fine rn but futief expansions could break it BAD).
Is it otk or the opponent has a chance to play? I cant watch clips atm
Creates 10 min animation strings.
Person plays 2 murmuring elementals during the game. Person plays Saronite chaingang during the game Person plays rumble during the game.
Thats when shudderwocks effects start to double/triple/quadrouple dip.
Disguised toast played 4x 1 mana shudderwocks
First shudderwock: Normal, does all the battlecries in a random order. (2 murmuring) Second shudderwock: Does all the battlecries in a random order x3 (6 murmuring) Third shudder: Does all the battlecries in a random order x7 (14 murmuring) Fourth shudder: Does all the battlecries in a random order x15 (30 murmuring)
Wow,even for Hearthpwn's standards this is a record.... We're just past an hour into the expansion and there are already these kind of threads.... I'm really amazed, please keep it going....
Right? Anyone remember literally just 12 months ago when there was a salt thread for EVERY quest (Except Galvadon) by mid afternoon? The Shudderwock deck seems pretty abysmal vs. aggro btw. That being said, if it ever does rise to T-1 popularity I'll gladly quit until it's nerfed because the deck is still uninteractive af regardless of power-level.
Still, if a deck becomes popular and its only counter is aggro, it should be nerfed.
Oh, no, I FULLY agree lol. In 4 years I've never once brought an aggro deck to ranked ladder (I had my first golden hero two years BEFORE I unlocked all of the basic Hunter cards ffs) if I can't play control, I just plain don't play the game.

Thats crazy but does it kill opponent?
The one Toast did didnt kill the opponent, since he hadnt drawn a lifedrinker yet. It was just 10 mins of Brrlock freezes, rumble procs, saronite procs drake aoe and elemental card draw.
I agree this is not salt i just literely had a game where my oponent took 10 min per turn when he played shudderwok game lasted 65 min wow. i must be salty that i lost. come argue me why blizard shudnt nerf this trash.
I already played it...as a rogue and felt so good, double Tess (cuadruple if we count the originals) just filled my board with wolves, killed minions, let me draw 2 card with 0 and refilled my hand with shaman cards and restored all my heal. When he used his, it was too late (but reduced my heath from 30 to 16
And since Dirty Rat moves to Wild, we now literally have no way to 'play around' battlecries, since they also didn't give us a card that prevents battlecries. I guess you could play Warlock and play Skulking Gnomeferatu, or play Druid and make your opponent draw an extra card and hope to burn a key combo piece.
edit: Druid running double Naturalize may be the best 'tech' against this nonsese, if you don't want to play aggro.

I'm not sure Murmuring Elemental works like that, even if its battlecry happens 2 or more times the following battlecries will trigger just twice, they will not multiplicate (just like with Brann Bronzebeard.
Still, the Shudderwock's effect is crazy powerful, and it takes way too much time to resolve.

Yes because of Lifedrinker. It’s 3 damage to face that you can’t stop and has no rng to it.
Hm...do battlecries finish before secrets are triggered? For instance, would a well timed Explosive Runes prevent Shudderwock?

So, they'll speed up the animations. What the hell is with this crying about nerfs, we're 2 hours into the expansion, ffs.
Release the Kraken!
Not soon enough. This card is broken in wild with Jades
Again, it’s not the power of the deck that’s at issue, it’s the insane length of the combo.
Ppl theorycrafted that if i believe so im guessing T5 knew about this possibility and still released it? Wow

I wonder how long the game would be with ice block x3 or 4 in wild.
