So Blizzard has decided to make hunter near unplayable by changing Starving Buzzard to a 2/1. That is just about the only draw engine we have without sacrificing deck synergy, and now, especially vs rogues and mages, it will be absolutely useless!
Changing the Hyena was fine, changing UtH I can live with, but what did the Buzzard ever do to you?
I also thought this change was off. Nobody was talking about Starving Buzzard, and now it is killable by hero power. The only thing I can possibly imagine this changing is now mages won't be able to trigger snake trap if a hunter is going for that combination via hero power.
I did not play hunter often, but starving buzzard was never hard to kill, and now it is just mindless to take off the board.
Srsly doubting they'll keep charge and still cost 1 mana. One of those things will go, the cost will be buffed to 4 or 5 mana or it will simply be 1 mana for a permenant +1/+0 to all beasts.

Nozdormu wins you every game where you opponent has to go to the bathroom on turn 9.
I don't see this as much of an issue tbh the buzzard is a target for instant removal and basically can only be played when you can trigger it right away making it so hero powers can remove it as well as other removal spells still creates the same end result of a bullseye on the cards head.
Turn 1/2 Buzzard is the hardest hitting play in the game if the opponent has little to no removal or early minions. You're getting ahead in card advantage for increasing your board advantage and it's an uphill battle before anything can be done. This nerf focuses on the strength of playing Buzzard where there is no opportunity for counterplay.

That's sort of true. At least now he's really starving.
Didn't agree either, you can't balance a game towards minor leagues. Higher leagues will instantly remove Buzzards that join the field too soon.
Higher leagues can't make cards they don't have in their hand magically appear; everyone knows Buzzard is a high priority target. This is a nerf for situations where there is no counterplay.

The nerf is fine, it changes nothing of its value in lategame, but makes it much easier to counter early game. So any decent hunter feels no change at all, only those playing buzzard early game will see a difference, because there are more counters to one health as opposed to two. The main concern blizzard had was, rogues and druids fall behind to fast vs. early buzzard, if they can't remove it on their turn. 1 HP fix this. (If I remember right they added mages, but that wondered me a bit)

Rogues have Backstab and a even more annoying Coin+Ringleader.
I still think it was exaggerated but won't change a damn thing at higher levels of gameplay, I just feel it came out of nowhere.
I'm not even going to mention Mages, so easy to deal with it, I just, like I said, don't understand where this came from but again, they have better stat motorization than we do, but making it 1 health might make him absolutely useless early game, no one plays cards with only 1 health to the exception of the gnome anyway.

They said that hunters were really strong in the lower brackets against all the 1 damage hero power heroes and that is why they nerfed it.

meh, it's still a viable play for OTK/late game hunter decks. then at least you'd get plenty of draw in one turn from low cost minions.
They are changing unleash the hounds, so it might not be as useful.
Unnecessary change, IMO. Buzzard was already an easy target for pretty much any removal.
I could see it being nerfed to a 1/2 rather than a 2/1.

Depending on how they change Unleash the Hounds this could either be a huge issue or not so much.

Unleash the Hounds will likely be changed to only give charge to beasts, which would prevent an OTK in most cases.

They should have changed hits atk number to 1 not his Hp.
1/2 would be just fine but a 2/1 its Mehhhhh

Explain to me as if I was really dumb, what do you mean "no counterplay"?
