You can use it to kill 2 minions a turn if needed, you can smorc for 10 with rockbiter or 16 with double rockbiter, it is insane value, it combos well with trogg. Every competitive shaman deck includes at least 1 if not 2. It is incredibly versatile and powerful.
Even if you smorc it through the course of 4 turns you get 16 damage for 5 mana + 2 overload.
I think the only OP thing about it is it's durability - 8 is too much by 2. If it were 6, you couldn't hold on to it while dealing 4 damage every turn for 4 turns. Otherwise this card is fine.

A 5 mana 2/6 with overlaod 2? Please. That would kill the card.
I don't think its overpowered. In fact the fact that it can only deal the damage it does over 4 turns is what balances it. Plenty of time to play heals and taunts. Also With Rockbiter... yeah I think giving it to Shaman was a bad Idea, but if you want to stop 10 or 16 damage to the face in one turn, then why don't you counter it with a taunt or something instead of getting killed by it every single game?
While you are attacking to hero, its same with 4*4 weapon. (Compare it with Assassin's Blade, +1 Attack for 2 overload)
While you are attacking to a minion. If there are 2-Health minions, you can split the damage between minions and hero. This is advantageous. However, if there is higher health minion (3 or 4), that's disadvantegeous because you will take double damage.
Most people say that the Doomhammer is too op. I actually think that it sucks and never see it play. Can you guys explain the reason?

12 damage for 5 mana is pretty good.
You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.
In turn 5, your opponent would probably play a 5 mana minion so you can't actually kill 2 minions in a turn unless the opponent is aggro.

Its op because without rockbiter= 4+4+4+4 damage which is half your opponents health over 4 turns.
With Rockbiter Weapon x1 its 10+4+4+4= 22 damage over 4 turns, 10 of which comes out of nowhere
With rockbiter x2 its 10+10+4+4 dmg or 16+4+4+4 depending on if the rockbiters are used in the same turn. Thats 28 dmg!!!!! What!
Plus an aggro deck gets you to 15 pretty soon, so even without the rockbiters its an excellent finisher.
And what did it cost you? 6 mana and 2 cards+ two overloaded mana crystals for 10 damage this turn and 12 more coming up? I'll take that any day.

it sees play so half your message is wrong.

Nobody played Shaman before Tunnel Trogg was a thing. That doesn't mean that Doomhammer isn't absurd.
I think the main issue is Rockbiter Weapon, if the card would only buff friendly minions, then, well... No Doomhammer broken combo.
Taunt and weapon destruction are a thing so I don't think it's OP.There are way more things that you can't play around or counter on this game.
What about "That belongs in the museum". If he didn't attack, 8 cards, if he did for one turn 6 cards. So its counterable. Also there is ooze.

If only there was a tech card which destroyed weapons.... Oh wait!
It's like complaining if secret pally was the meta but you don't want to run eater of secrets...
Doomhammer is not OP. It practically 7 mana, 2/8 with Windfury.
So, it's not that OP. It's being used because it's just a good card and only playable weapon of Shaman in standart.
Don't complain about every good card and tag them as "OP".
