Now we all know mage used to be super op, but its seemed that since TGT paladin is the new #1. However, i think you can argue that rogue might be better. I just did an arena and saw 5 rogues and zero paladins. Did another and saw 6 rogues and 2 paladins. The rogues also had much more tempo than paladin due to weapon removal. and other removal. There also is some statistics that rogue is better than palaidn since TGT. So when you choose your next arena, rogue might just be the better pick.
I've had two 12 wins in a row with rouge, so I'd say its the best. But as Beesman said, I believe it is harder to play than Paladin where usually the plays are pretty straight forward. Also, because Paladins are so popular, it boosts Rouges because in general Rouges have a good matchup vs. Paldin
best arena classes are mage, paladin and rogue. paladin has good everything, hero power minions weapons and his spells arent bad, mage has really good spells and a godd hero power while his minions are ok/good, and rogue as a LOT of flexibility and cheap removal plus some nice minions but it isnt easy to play. shaman is close to those too since it has really good early minions with the totem golem, zap-o-matic and the 3/2 that summons a totem, and his midgame minos arent bad either but overload is sometimes tricky to play with in arena
Rogue is so good only because he feast like crazy on Paladin. Paladin wants to have a lot of minions on board early exactly when Rogue can kill a lot of them early as well as with adding minions to the board. Also Paladin can't get rid of 2/1 Pirate that easily which futher increase the gap. On the other hand i feel like Rogue is not having a good time vs mage. Mage's hero power is just very strong against them.
Rogue is Paladin's worst nightmare. Paladin's is every other class worst nightmare though.
Rogue has better single removal, although she does have slightly worse board clear, that's usually not a problem in Arena because Rogue can usually set the tempo of the game, so it never gets to the point where she'd need a Flamestrike to swing back the board. She's the most moderate of the classes, in between Mage's insane spells and Paladin's powerful minions, which almost always leads to good drafts.
Of course, there are the games where you face a Mage with 3 Chuggachuggas and like a billion Frostbolts, but that's relatively rare :)
I'd say mage/paladin/rogue are on top and hard to tell which is better. All 3 has got decent to great TGT common cards. Paladin might be the most consistent, but can really screw up if on curve minions are suboar (ie lack of 2/3, 3/2 2 drops or minibot, lack of 3/4, 4/3 3 drops, lack of 4/5, 5/4 4 drops). Whereas rogue and mage isn't as required to have good on curve minions when mage has great common removal spells + hero power, and rogue has excellent tempo cards + hero power.
In the early seasons post-TGT, Paladin was everywhere, which is excellent knows because they've become predictable. My drafts started to lean toward anti-Paladin cards, and I would always pick Rogue if she was a choice. Worked out beautifully, and although people have caught on and started relying less on Pally, I've still had high win rates with Rogue.
It's actually perfect, huh? The lowliest Hero in the current Ranked meta is the most OP hero in Arena meta. I hope Pally fever still continues.
Rogue is one of my favs in the arena and I have never liked pally, I usually only pick when it is that or priest...
Warrior can be fun, but without a decent draft I feel like I just tossed 150 gold away most of the time.
To Radlos point, I have always been most surprised with hunter decks, it is the one class where I think, hmmm crap deck and then win 5 straight. Whereas I draft mage which I think is a crappy deck and the results are unsurprising.
I actually quite like Priest for Arena lately, Anduin gets a lot of big removal cards with his Shadow Words and Shadow Madness, and when he doesn't get those, he has big Epics like Cabal and Lightbomb, both of which are pretty much game winners.

Paladin and mage are safest picks. Rogue has most 12-win potential
Paladin and Rogue are tier 1 in current arena meta
Mage is tier 2
Rogue has higher skill cap than paladin,
if you are comfy with rogue i would say it's best atm, but even than paladin is right up there.

I always pick Rogue. Not only are they strong they are also the funnest to play.

Easier classes to play can allow you to draft stronger decks with lesser effort, Paladin's class cards are a class above the other heroes class cards.
Easy mode with training wheels = Paladin
Easy mode = Mage
Normal mode = Rogue, Shaman, Druid, Priest, Hunter, Warlock
Hard mode = Warrior

If you got the coin, the Mercenaries get going. Vote for The Mercenary for CCC #3.
I've recently started taking rogue #1. Before TGT I was pretty much warrior all the way, but now it's usually:
rogue -> warrior -> paladin -> shaman -> etc.
I just can't get used to playing games wihtout weapons :P

I think paladin has to be more OP. Rogue actually has awkward turns much more often.
