So after reveal all of cards we can think about which classes will be the best and which the worst. I'm very experienced arena player (2500 wins and more than fifty 12 wins runs) and I'm really curious how will look like class tier in Kobolds & Catacombs.
Druid got one very good rare and epic, rest are in the best way decent, so not too much.
Hunter got a great common nad rare, also two other commons are good. For me hunter gained a lot.
Mage got only one great rare, rest are decent or bad but its mage so probably will be still good in arena. Good thing is that now its easier to get synergies on elementals.
Paladin got one great common, epic and legendary and good rares. Its second class which gained a lot.
Priest got one good common, nice epic board clear but rest are garbage. One thing that saves priest is probably not too hard to get synergies on dragons.
Rogue got one great epic and good rare with draw, also two common secrets seems not bad, so rogue still will be great arena class.
Shaman: got one great common and epic but rest are really bad.
Warlock: this is third class which gained the most. Warlock got two great commons and two very good rares.
Warrior: there is not too much to say, still the worst class in arena.
My class Tier prediction:
Tier 1: Paladin,Rogue,Warlock
Tier 2: Hunter,Mage
Tier 3: Druid,Priest
Tier 4: Shaman,Warrior
What do you think guys about it and what is your predictions ?
Classes that got the most consistent cards this set:
1) Paladin
2) Hunter
3) Warlock / Rogue
I feel your rankings are pretty decent. I don't think Rogue will fall off as the top class in Arena due to the class just not getting BAD enough cards to sink the overall class. Paladin and Warlock should continue their strong KFT performance with strong offerings in KnC and Hunter should be making a bit of a splash with their common consistent cards.
Druid and Priest should take a hit in terms of consistency for Arena, while Mage seems to be the epiphany of a crap dice roll. Shaman got better, sort of, but still bad. Warrior should be still bottom rung.
Keep in mind that micro adjustments are a real thing and seem to be affecting how the higher win rate classes are performing. This is a prime set up for Hunter to really boost itself into the top half of the classes since they are benefiting from micro adjustments. IIRC I believe in a recent statistic finding in Asia, Hunter actually had the highest win rate of all the classes.
Warlock is going to become truly top tier along with Paladin and Rogue I think. Hunter, Mage, Priest and Druid will all be there or there abouts in the second tier, and then Shaman and Warrior will continue their pretty terrible performance.
Back when it was just Un'goro, Hunter was pretty great in Arena in my opinion, and they got some fantastic cards this time around, may become top tier.
Warrior got actually some seriously good cards. All the commons are great, not too amazing, but great and two out of three rares are pretty decent as well. It is still gonna be about how many weapons are u offered, but i think he will do a lot better. I am looking forward to taking him out for a spin.
The armor synergy in Warrior really intrigues me. The draft process is probably still too random for it to be a reliable strategy, but a mindset change while drafting and playing Warrior may yield surprising benefits.
Incoming 0-3 Warrior run.
