Title says it all, I can't wait to get to try out the new cards for myself. The Joust mechanic needs a generally high-curve deck to be successful, so it will be interesting to see what the developers where able to conjure up in terms of a late-game Hunter archetype, but I think it will probably not do justice to the true potential of the Joust mechanic, so if it is a flop in the brawl, I wouldn't overreact. Mage has a lot of great cards for Inspire, so this should be interesting. Thoughts?
They should just release the expansion already. I have money and I have dust, I don't want to play with premade crap for a week before getting to try a real deck.

Well it's another week for pre-orders to come through. You know, in case seeing the cards wasn't enough, people now get to play decks with the new cards, see that they are pretty good / fun to play with and decide buy the pre-order, because Bli$$ard.

They make less on the pre-order than they will selling them at full price. If people haven't pre-ordered by now then that's too bad for them.
It's all about hype - Blizzard's good at hype. The purpose isn't to give you enough to make you really want it, and then give it to you -- the purpose is to show you enough to make you really want it, build up into a frothing rage, flip a few tables, start a riot, and then - MAYBE then - trickle a little in.
Then, they clean up your exploded head off the floors and shove it into the vault next to the millions of dollars they made and release the content. =)
Looking forward to the brawl, though. I'd like to just get it done and release the expansion too, but I won't kick a gift horse in the neck... I think that's how it goes.
I'm really looking forward to this brawl, it will be nice to get a chance to try the new cards. Even with how unbalanced it was, the first brawl was pretty fun. I hope they also add new cards to arena as well, probably unlikely though now that they've announced this.
I'll be honest this has actually killed a bunch of my hype, I was actually getting a bit excited to crack packs within the next day or two, and having to wait an extra week while getting this (it's rare that I find a brawl I want to play more than one win besides completing quests on classes I can't build good decks for) is pretty disappointing.
The real purpose of this brawl is for players to experience and try out the Medivh and Alleria alternate hero skins. This is all part of Blizzard's elaborate plan to give players a taste of what they're like so we're more eager to actually purchase the skins after the brawl is over.

They can't really make it an arena "pre-release", because of card pool problem.
Even with an expansion the size of 132 cards, you can't possibly form a deck exclusively with TGT and the basic set. Allowing further sets to pop in just dilutes the chance of getting the new cards. So if they do that in the arena, either you get exclusively-TGT decks that functions awkwardly, or you get normal arena decks, which may still be fine but you won't get to try out on the new set as much.
Oh and by the way, this can't be more obvious. Alleria and Medivh avatar doesn't sell as good as expected.
Personally I can't wait to try it out. I want to see the Jousting and Inspire mechanic (that so many people crapped on) in action. This helps me understand more about how they actually works on the field, without the burden to have to learn the new cards as well. But that's just me.

Don't see why not. These brawl decks don't have to differ much from this.
They could easily do some weighting too. Like, for 1 week you have 33 or 50% chance for new expansion cards, otherwise is evenly chosen from other sets. Frankly I'd like to see Arena itself converted to something like this at some point, as each new expansion is going to make less and less impact otherwise if its all evenly random. One of the cool things about MTG limited is actually having completely different environments when a new set comes out.

They did it with GvG, no reason why they can't do the same with TGT. Sure, you likely won't get to draft that many TGT cards for each Arena run, but it at least there is a chance of trying or seeing all of them, as opposed to only those included in a pre-made deck for the Brawl.

I suppose this means a 24th release date aye?

Certainly could be, I know a couple people were saying 24th/25th before this announcement, and the announcement seems to support that.

I wish they implemented this in arena as well =/

Hope you get a TGT pack from this that you can open on release or something

I'm definitely looking forward to trying out the hunter build. Since it is joust based, it'll have to be mid-range to control. Can't wait!
You get a classic pack: https://twitter.com/CM_Zeriyah
Blizzard really is not doing the best job at this...
