I'm in the same boat.I'm going to sleep so I'm just going to copy paste my opinion from another thread.
What I can't understand if why Blizzard keeps trying to tell us how we should play and enjoy the game.
We keep hearing that the games cater to casuals so it can't be complicated and rng is to balance skill etc. But look at the people playing,90% of them netdeck so they have the higher chance of winning and can get the higher rank possible,a ton of people watch tournament or streamers and most of them play constructed, seriously HS is the only game that isn't a MOBA or CSGO with that consistent amount of viewers. So the question again. Why do they keep aiming at casuals?I'm pretty sure most people would prefer a tournament mode. You should expand your game towards what people want and how they play ,no force them to play it the way you want.
I think it's a marketing gimmic to attract new players, the balance issues aside, playing assymetrical decks removes any need for a card collection for constructed or gold for Arena and now F2P players have another free classic pack of cards every week in order to increase the speed at which they can compete in constructed. I am really dissapointed that they chose Brawl over a tournament mode, and no reward for the number of wins you have seems pointless when you're keeping track of wins but I think the intent is pretty clear.
So play it for the experience, take the free reward and go back to grinding ladder until tournament mode gives us an alternative constructed format to spend our gold on and raise the skill cap.
I think my negative reaction to Brawl, and the reaction of a lot of other players, is just the WTF reaction to the implementation of the idea.
So what is the win count for? It doesn't even fucking say.
To let you know how many times you've won. That's literally it. You're matched with others based on how many wins you have. It's completely awful considering Blizzards reward and stat structures in their other games.
The problem is that Nefarian has the better spell power and start with four mana. They should have removed his armor or had him start with 1 mana. Rag's hero power starts off too weak. Basically, you keep losing until you get to play as Nefarian and win. Since they aren't balanced doesn't give you a reason to play it until the next brawl once you have your card pack.
It's a mode that you play just for fun... 4 days... Why the hell would they ever make balanced changes. It's over after 4 days. And if you don't want to play in this mode, then wait for the next theme. YOU DON'T HAVE TO PLAY! That's the great thing about it!
Yea I'm sure Blizzard would love the slogan "You don't have to play!" to all of us who stopped playing Hearthstone before this because they stopped making it interesting.
So... with tavern brawl blizzard killed hearthstone completely (IMO). Why should I play a completely luck based game?
Perhaps you're not aware of this, but the tavern mode is a free additional and optional mode; it doesn't replace the other existing modes.
Log on and have a look - it seems that you will be suprised!
The other existing modes that have caused a lot of people to quit because Blizzard refuses to balance and/or make them interesting? Sure. I'll take a look at those.
You sound like you aren't very good at Hearthstone.
Legend 7 times before becoming way too bored of doing the same thing month after month. Guess I could win a few LANs to appease you but your entire point doesn't mean anything based off what you replied to.
Reality is for good longtime alpha players, the game is boring as fuck in constructed, in large part because BRM changed so little and GvG was never nerfed.
Played 1, won 1 ... then wondered ... what is the point to playing more? Well, there isn't one apart from the usual 10 gold for 3 wins counts in Brawl too.
This line of thinking is funny to me.
"What is the point of playing more"... It's a video game. A VIDEO GAME! What's the point of playing any game at all ever?

Well if they gave us a fun and interesting ruleset it would be very easy to play for fun. But they didn't.
Idea of tavern brawl is cool, but this first one is crap. If they don't step it up and make the next few a lot better, than this is going to die off really quickly. They really screwed up on this. I probably will never touch it again once they stop doing the pack for first win thing.

I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.
Well I'am quite enjoying it! It's nice to just play with different cards and have something else to do other that arena and dailies .. I'm looking forward to next week :) .. (easily pleased I am haha).

"Fun" didn't seem to in the criteria of the original poster, who seemed to be looking for more gold or packs or ranks or levelups or something...

You need to have at least 1 hero at level 20 or higher. It does not require BRM as far as I am aware.

how do I access it? bc I can't see the new button on PC and mobile :/
I expect serious balanced changes.
Currently, if Nefarian plays second and gets Vaelasztrasz in hand, he just flat out wins. Happened to me has Rag my first 2 games.

I still have high hopes for the mode, I'm just bored of this brawl in particular.

4 games played
4 games won
4 games as rag
4 commons, 1 rare from pack
boring as fk tbh
Well, it was fun...twice...
So what's the number at the top of the picture about??
