its not that big of a deal. im playing HS next to netflix and i made it today. yesterday i had 2h winstreak from bronze 10 to d5 with 10 stars and today i made it. wild pirate warrior.
Proud of yourself because you could watch Netflix doing so? Wild pirate warrior is a deck that you have to actively work to lose a single game either by playing shit cards (sword eater, cargo guard, any weapon but anchar, anything besides smite that’s 4 or more, more than 1 3 drop) or by making bad plays all the time. The deck is as autopilot as odd Hunter and maybe the easiest to play deck ever. Should be banned soon
If you think that a “top tier” deck will easily get you to legend you are either new to the game or quite naive… the matchmaking will make sure your win rate is kept at 50-52%. You win 9 games on average and lose 8 and the endless boring grinding begins
Totally not true, but I can understand people thinking like that. cough cough.

Generally true. Used to be true some time ago though. I am a returning player who played kobolds before stopping for over 3 years. I had some dust, just created aggro taunt druid and got to legend in 2.5 days. The game has become easier. At the moment (since the beginning of the month I didn't play 3-4 days at all) with no more than 2 hours a day gametime I am rank 2 diamond with a very slight deck upgrade (+1 annoy-o-tron -2 jerry rigs +2 squirrels, this one).
It's exactly that, create a "top tier deck" to make it work easy, not the most difficult/complex one. With the druid to legend straight from the bottom to top, mind that this is a deck that costs around 5k dust even less. After hitting legend, decided to try some stuff with other, non top tier decks that costed way more (some over 10k dust), it just didn't work. I understand the author's struggle with the pirate warrior, the meta got used to it, I have over 80% WR against such and there are already things to control it. So just a bad choice to hit legend straight away from 0 by just "buying" a deck. Saying it from the perspective of a person who also has the cards for the pirate warrior, tried it, just doesn't work that well (modestly will say that I have some idea how to play this game), it just isn't the patches pre-nerf pirate warrior that made people concede on turn 2 :)

47 got stomped by taunt druid. I have one rancor in my collection, added it.
48 beat quest priest. Guess they don't always have all the answers.
48 lost to a rogue
50 lost mirror going 2nd.
35-15
