Awesome changes to duels. It's almost like they listen there. Love that Shudderwock is entering the arena. Love all the changes. Just great, great work!
I'm wondering about duels, why did they ban the cards they did? Seems like some really odd choices. I mean would Ice Lance or Reno be that problematic? Leroy?
I don't really understand. These cards in duels might not even see play. Yet they need to ban them? Sylvanas?
I mean I'm often playing deathrattle builds, and I'm not sure Sylvanas would make my list. And if it's iffy for a deck that plans of giving it reborn, does it really need banned?
I'm irritated that Wildfire has to suffer a ban. Can't they just ban it for Reno??
I'm thinking that they jsut don't have a very large group working on Duels. So, that's why we don't see many changes. We see recycled art. For all I know it's just one guy working on it. And it's all he can do to give us new heroes once in a while.
Still I really like the mode. It's fun. But, maybe they coulld hire one more guy and double the team working on it.
Sire Denathrius for me. I play Duels. And I'm thinking this is a great 1 card wincon for my deathrattle decks. But I also see myself losing to this a million times.
I almost hope it's banned in the format.
Games might be too short in Standard for this to shine, but in Duels this thing is a truckoad.
It's pretty sad that this card, which can dump 21 stat point on the board with taunt on turn 4 is considered too slow.
Probably is though. I would rather that if your life was at 20 or less that they got poison instead of the extra stat points. You really need your wall to be able to take down the tribe you face, not just bloody them.
And why is it always a tribe with aggro? There was a time in this game where you could play aggro without relying on tribal synergies. Where an argent squire followed up by a knife juggler was pretty threatening.
Sometimes I do wonder if people are actually playing this game and not just lurking in this website commenting on cards. Why would you think that this card would show your opponent's entire hand?
Think of this from a game developer perspective. You are playing on the smallest supported resolution and opponent have 12 cards in hands ( Valdris Felgorge ) and you play this, how on earth would you reasonably fit 12 cards in a readable non chaotic way that would look the same on all devices?
No, this will most likely let you choose from 3 cards because the standard number for these effects is usually 3 choices.
Have their hand replace your hand during the selection process.
Sort of like locations are new. Maybe Relics are like spells, but not spells and neutral.
So, you could then have neutral 'spells' but they would be a lot like the locations. Except maybe just single use. You could drop one, and it would take a minion spot, and it could just sit on your board until you think it's an opportune time to trigger it.
This would open up design space to neutral spells. But, they wouldn't actually BE spells. Wouldn't trigger things that get triggered by spells or have their cost lowered or be affected by spell power.
And the coin? It could finally stop being a spell. It could be a relic.
Lots of what ifs here. But, I think this would be cool. Would they introduce 2 new cards types in one set though? Seems unlikely.

Yes, it seems slow enough to not be a problem to me. Certainly not as fast as losing to boars.
But, I'll adapt. There are other win conditions.
I am a little miffed that I crafted twig and seek guidance for duels and now both are banned.

Welp, now I take everything back. The press release above didn't mention that they banned Seek Guidance. That was my main strategy.
YOu'd think that would have been worth mentioning, no?

Duels could use a shake up.

I think we could use some good anti-tribe cards.

Gonna craft. Gonna play. I hope the downside of giving my opponent a card won't be too heavy.

That's a ton of setup for a marginal return. Would rather have mindrender ilLucia back.

I know. But, a man can dream.

Seems like if you go second with this you will just win. So aggro, so early.
Edit:. Nevermind, I was thinking this could be used 3 times. Not as scary as I thought.

I agree. They should not take a minion slot. Doesn't sound that hard to have a little icon on the side instead.

Pretty sure they printed one that caused your opponent to cast a spell. I dno't think it ever saw much play.
