I've never played a whole lot of Hearthstone, and I haven't played at all since at LEAST the Grand Tournament expansion. With all my old cards melted down, I've got about 20K dust to build with, and nothing Standard-playable outside the classic cards.
There are a ton of new mechanics I don't know about and I'm rusty at CCGs anyway, so I'd like to build 1-2 decks that are simple to learn and will have at least moderate success in the current meta. Does anyone have suggestions for deck styles that fit the bill? I'm not looking to push legend or anything, I don't think I ever got higher than rank 20 when I played before -- I'm just really bad at shooters and looking to get back into a game that doesn't require twitchy reflexes.
I've been using Spell Damage Mage recently. I like it a lot: it's fairly cheap, easy to use, and good against a lot of meta decks. Here's the list I'm currently working with:
Both legendaries are completely optional and if you want to try the budget version before committing to it, I'd just replace both of them with Mana Reservoir

Thanks for any help y'all can offer!

Yeah I second that. They have the old hpwn-staff and are always up to date
Anything works as long as you are lucky enough! That decides 90% of games on ladder.
