Is anyone planning to dust 100% of their Naxx and GvG collection yet?
The only Neutral GvG minions I didn't dust are 2 each of Annoy-o-Tron, Explosive Sheep, Mechwarper, Piloted Shredder, and Antique Healbot. I haven't gone through my class card collection yet. I never crafted Dr. Boom so I don't need to fret over dusting him. I wasn't using the other 10+ GvG cards I just dusted so I don't miss them now. I'm planning to dust all but a few Naxx cards in a couple weeks too. It seems hard to dust Belcher, Loatheb, Creeper, Chow, Deathlord, Nerubian Egg, Kel'Thuzad, Baron R, and Shade though.
If I dust the good GvG and Naxx cards above, when might I miss them? I don't care about collecting cards I don't play regularly. I'm mainly interested in Standard PvP, and just care about PvM enough to unlock future Adventure Wings, which I can do with Standard cards. I don't care about Heroic adventures, I just unlock the new cards and go back to PvP. If I dabble in Wild, I think I'll get along fine with only these GvG and Naxx cards, or less. If I want them just for memories, there's lots of sites on the web showing cards. I guess I'd only keep them for memories of playing them in Wild or PvM Adventures? I don't need to keep many for that. I'm thinking if I still play this game 4 years from now, will I care about Naxx and GvG as much as I do my 4 year old Magic cards? I will care the same which is not at all. Too lazy to eBay the old magic cards.
There's a small chance I'll put even more energy into Hearthstone Standard, get all the normal and many Goldens with a pile of Dust and Gold left over that I can't use in the future, and then I'd wonder what the point of dusting my GvG and Naxx cards was since I don't care about the dust anymore. But even then, what's the difference between an extra 10 dust in the pile or 2 copies of a common GvG card I never use? It seems like 10 dust is easier to keep track of than two useless cards.
For me, the exchange rate is just too bad to consider dusting any cards. If you were to dust ALL rare cards from naxx and gvg you have enough dust for a single legendary (1.640 dust).
Already dusted most of GvG. Only kept things I enjoyed like Recombobulator and Unstable Portal, mainly for future Wild-Format Brawls. I intend to do the same with Naxx - most of everything other than Mad Scientist, Duplicate and Kel-T will, if you pardon the pun, "bite the dust" :D

Why aren't you also dusting useless epics and legendaries like Mini-Mage, Feugen and Stallag?

Same. If it were closer to 1/3 or 1/2 of the dust it takes to craft it, I might think differently, but currently if I dust all my Naxx and GvG cards, I'd have less than 6k dust (I think), which is far too little for me to justify it. Not even enough for 4 legendaries. Sure, I could craft all the good commons and rares in the new xpac, but I can get those from packs anyway. I'd also probably end up regretting it in the near future.
Thanks for the replies. So far I haven't seen any good reasons to keep them. There are good reasons for others to keep theirs, but I don't think I want to keep my old Wild cards. Looks like Naxx might get me a lot of dust. I'm still missing Grommash, Antonidas, Lord Jax, Sylvanas, Leeroy, and Ysera from the classic set. I pulled a Golden Ysera once, but 1600 dust to spend on rares at the time was too hard to pass up so I dusted him.
I'm not gonna dust any cards from Nax and GvG, I will focus on standard but I know that one day I want to have fun in wild too. Long ago I disenchanted all of the giants. I thought I was never going to play handlock etc. Guess what I did? I crafted them back 6 months later.. I have done stupid rushy decisions like that in many other games as well and have regretted them later.

Well today you might think "I am never going play Wild", "these are pointless cards" etc. A year or two from now if you are still playing you might think... "Damn I was so stupid! I shouldn't have disenchanted them. All of those fun wild decks to play.. sigh". You get the point. People change their opinions, things they wish and want all the time so don't be so certain that what you think is the right decision today is the right decision in the future. ;)

Also don't forget- Nax and GvG cards can still be used in tavern brawl and you might never know what other game mode they will add to the game. Maybe you can use those cards in some new game mode in the future. Better safe than sorry imo.

Sorry man but dusting all that stuff was a bad move. As others have said, you may regret that in a few years.
I think that some cards will be 'reprinted' a few years down the line. These reprints will have new art and once they are released, the original versions won't be available to craft anymore. This will give those who held on to their cards something pretty cool, think black boarder cards in MTG. But if that's not a big deal to you ot if you don't plan on playing wild then go ahead and de to your heart's content.
I was also afraid they might rotate the old cards back in at some point, and considered not dusting anything... but then I rejected the idea. Even if they did temporarily come back, so what? Most of the good cards are blues that can be crafted or drawn from packs once more. And I'll get by without Loatheb. There will be other, great legendaries.

Actually I think this is another thing that blizzard has stated- they don't want to reprint cards with different artwork. We might get really similar cards but not really the same cards.

Stadart isn´t even out yet. Why have you destroyed your gvg collection although you can still use them? We have no idea how Standart is gone be, maybe you would have much fun in Wild with your Cards.
Because, at least in my case, they were cards I never used past the first couple of weeks that GvG was out? They were just too boring or weak to bother with.

I agree with you that OP should have waited for the release date, but I will dust all the Naxx cards (maybe keep Sludge Belcher and Death's Bite ...) and the GVG cards as well. I want to play CW only so, I will love to have all that dust, plus I enjoy the idea of constant change on the meta game.

Thanks MrGoodie. Corrected my post to remove LoE cards I mis-input.
I'll do it, no regrets.
GvG was the worst thing that could've happened to this game. I'm happy if I never have to use a single card from it again.

GvG/Naxx could come back in a future standard rotation, I wouldn't dust anything.
