Me and a friend just started playing hearthstone i am enjoying so far, I want to get a few card packs but is that really the best option or should i get the adventures? really would just like to know were to start off to get a good foundation for hearthstone.
there's quite a lot to catch up if you just started playing. I would suggest buying card packs or playing arena rather than buying adventure if you are f2p. completing daily quest should enable you to buy some packs. priority for classic packs then for expansion packs.
I'd say get at least the first wing of brm and loe before they rotate out. They may not be immediately useful for standard but lower ranks of wild aren't that much different to standard. It'll be really good to eventually unlock the whole adventures when u get time later on :)
thanks for the help :) is wild worth playing? iv only been playing standard recently also tried arena and only got 1 win haha it was rough but im sure ill get better as time goes on.
just don't play the arena just yet. You need more experience and knowledge about variety of cards and mechanics of the game before you roll your hard earned 150 gold there. Firstly, buy one Whisper of the Old Gods pack, for free C'thun legendary. Then save 1400 gold and buy first wings of BRM and LOE. Then built a deck from it. Or a cheap C'thun deck.
Then grind gold from rank 20 to buy classic packs until you acquire staple rare cards. I don't recommend buying packs other than classic for new players. You could save gold for the next expansion on April.
Yep, definitely do not play arena yet, you will end up wasting your gold. Once you have a solid foundation in the game it can be a good way to get packs but not right when you start. I echo the idea to at least buy the first wings of Blackrock Mountain and League of Explorers, because once the new expansion is released (in ~2 months) you will only be able to finish buying the adventures if you have the first wing at least.
Okay so ill pick up those 2 adventures is the other 1 worth looking at as well or not?. Also are the cards from those adventures playable in standard, sorry i am still learning it all.

They will be playable in standard for a month or so.
Anyway, even if you dust most of the cards later, it still worth it considering dust/gold ratio.
I also just started recently and found that playing arena is really a waste of gold until you do know the game and the cards better, so I second that advice for sure.
I would actually all 3 adventures, and the full of it, because they give you such good cards, and as said, when they rotate out the dust is more than welcome.
Other than that, I would say, think very much before you dust cards, I made the mistake early on to dust cards I did not see have any use, and are missing them now, so really consider if the 400 dust you get from a legendary is worth it.
There are lots of cheap decks here that can push you to rank 15, and if your lucky with the packages you open, you might even go higher. As for buying classic or Gadgetzan packages, I am not quite sure about that myself just yet, I choose to boost my start with real money purchases, so for now I will get Gadgetzan, but if you do not boost it, I would probably only buy classic packs.
Well i have just brought BRM and LoE and ill start here so far the information feels like doing this will make a good foundation for my up coming hearthstone game's.
So far so good if anybody was wondering how it was going, pretty rough tho with the current cards but still do able also wondering if it was worth doing the heroic part's of these adventures.
I regret every dollar I've spent on this game. Mainly because with each new expansion or update Blizzard lets out some cards that make decks with an unfair advantage and leave them in play while they sell lots of those packs because people want to play the unfair decks. After a month or three they "fix" things but then repeat the cycle soon after to rake in more money.
You will never have a collection with "good" cards unless you play a huge amount (or pay repeatedly) to keep up with the "new meta" decks and play what's currently on top. Don't waste your money - if you do waste money, only buy the latest expansion cards--for the current expansion play Shaman decks, pirate warrior, Jade Druid using mainly the new expansion cards - those decks are very strong and haven't been "fixed" ...yet. They will be neutered soon ... but Blizzard will want to make more money so they will shortly release more cards that will be "must have" and they will make some new unfair decks.... rinse and repeat.
I understand the game is fascinating when you start, but it's really a giant con. Plenty of people happily playing Reno decks or Pirate decks that would disagree with me though. Until their precious decks are nerfed...
So do you still play the game? or have you just given up on it?. Ill see how i go, ill try my hardest to get some were if i feel like i am not making progress i might have to try harder.People do play this game full f2p and get places so i don't see why i cant?.
Don't do heroique without a huge collection to use all the broken cards for them.
It will only waste a lost of time to do. Some match-up even with the optimized deck take a lot of trial until you get the exact combination of some cards and that the boss don't do crazy stuff at the wrong time

Because they invest 8 hours a day. Can you?
You don't need to play 8 hours each day to be able to 'get places' no matter if you are F2P or not, its a matter of spending the time you do have available correct.
From the moment you chose to play a game, you have make a choice of where to take it and the work against that goal with the time you have available. Also remember that if you want to be REALLY good at a game like HS, it not only about playing it 8 hours each day, sometimes you need to spend some time reading different forums aswell.

Long story short, dont buy any of the older card expansions or adventures except Mean Streets of Gadgetzaan if you want to play standard.
it's called hearthstone because you turn 360 degrees and walk away
Vvreeeew.
The best thing to do is to craft patches and start smacking people in the face
