We've been an uprising in C"Thun warrior this last week be reducing the amount of C'Thun related cards to the essentials. I tried this with Priest and added most of the N'Zoth lineup and it seems feasible.
Probably not a top deck, but it could be refined more and become usable. I'll post the deck in a minute.
I've used key cards from both archetypes to help make a usable deck on ladder. Going run it now.
It's the same idea as mixing Control Warrior with C'thun. It's not he main purpose for the deck but it can help stabilize the board and sometimes become a win condition.
Yes, but I'm trying to develop a new style of Priest that hasn't yet been done. Mostly because Priest is becoming dead weight on the ladder right now in terms of potential. Sure there are pros playing it. But we haven't seen Priest as a tier one or anywhere close since Old Gods launched.
Why hasn't anybody tried both?

Yeah I've tried it, it can work but its not particularly strong.
Dragon'zoth has definitely been done I have seen a bunch of decklists/threads about it since the beginning of the Standard season.
It has some decent synergy using Chillmaw.
