Funky because it does play on a control archetype while denying armor gain, but also OP in that most classes cannot reliably deal with a 4 attack minion with 6 health in a single turn right after 2 Death's bite attacks. You see, going above 5 health is a threshold, quite an important one in fact, it prevents most minions from trading it ( Loatheb, Thaurissan, Shield Maiden...Few minions ever have more than 5 Attack ), denies most soft removal ( Priest ones ; Rogues can't even eviscerate it with Spell Power +1 ) while not being BGHable ( Which was one of the GVG Steam tank's weakness ).
Yeah, that's pretty much the point. A sticky minion that doesn't immediately die, so that you can actually make use of the healing. Balanced by a low attack and vulnerability to silence.
Seeing how Siege Engine is a dud of a card, here's my attempt at a Warrior mech that interacts with Armor:
Sorry, but face is NOT place :P
Nice concept, but both funky and potentially OP.

I'm not a fan of only making existing strategies better. I create ideas for new ones, where you have to think differently. :P

Don't worry about it. It's a common mindset it seems, which is why I have to do a lot of explaining and hand-waving.

I think its too weak to be played in constructed. I will make Armor gain heal this minion in addition to giving your hero the armor.
Some of my creations are below, sorted from new to old
Myths of the Pantheon -A card a day (on a break right now) -Full Moon of Gilneas -A Tale of Fairies - Dalaran Expansion 2 - The Dark Forest - Dalaran Expansion 1 - Pirate Expansion 2 - Pirate Expansion 1 - Spring of Kimjau -Seige at Orgimmar - Journeys Abound
That would be kind of broken with Shield Block and Shield Maiden.

It has good synergies with those cards, doesn't mean its broken.I dont think that anyone will even play my version of Steam Tank over Slyv in CW.

If you change the card to "Inspire: Restore this minion to full health." you have a similar effect with fewer triggers but less downside.
Well, not really. The whole point is that your hero power can only restore 2 Health at a time, and you can only do a full heal using Armor cards.
