Hey everyone! Today i will be sharing with you the project i was working on for the last month... My very first Hearthstone Expansion- Journeys Abound!
The expansion is all about exploring and the cards are heavily teamed to be either ambitious characters leaving their previous lives behind, or to be the places and dangers that wait for them in their Journeys.
there are 2 new types of spells in this expansion-
Wonders- when you cast a Wonder nothing happens right away (ok, some of them draw you a card), and you will shuffle an effect into your deck, like Burrowing Mine . when you draw the effect, some thing will happen, and you will draw a card to replace it! these are the main theme of this expansion.
Transmute- each class got a Transmute Spell. When you use it, you Upgrade one of your mana crystals with an improved one. When you use it, something else happens. You can the effect every turn for the rest of the game, as long as you have used all of your mana that turn.
Very interesting cards! Wonder seems a pretty cool mechanic, maybe a little too reliant on luck since it shuffles it, but it's cool that you made some cards that are stronger when you shuffled some wonder stuff. Nice!
Also little question. Does the transmute effects happen only if you used all the mana? Or does it work even if you still have unspent mana?
There are probably some wonder cards that maybe could have their cost reduced. For example Castle of Evil (I love the name) costs 4 for 3 demons, but only when you, maybe if you are lucky, wonder it. Compare it to Sense Demons, you pay 1 less mana for 1 less demon, but you get the demons immediately, which makes a big difference. It's true that you get the Castle of evil's effect for "free" later, but you still spent 4 mana in a turn and it did nothing. I would maybe lower the cost to 3 or even 2 mana, or if you want to keep it at 4 it can definitely have the "draw a card" effect.

Still, awesome set, I really like it, good job!
The Transmuted Mana Crystal will allways be your last mana crystal, meaning you have to use all of your mana to get the effect.
and i agree about some of the Wonder card's balance... Its really difficult to me to balance it because there is almost nothing like it in the game. Once i have enough suggestions i will update the cards and maybe add the cards that some classes are missing.

This is one of the best expansions I've seen on the website! LOVE the winder effect. Only car I think needs a tune up is Cave Giant, as an 8 mana 8/8 to start isn't bad, and with how man wonders there are he could getser good super fast. Maybe 10 mana, 9 even? Idk
PS: Panorama Watcher art 10/10, would Frankenstein again :P

Yeah i wil up its mana cost to 9, but think about how weak is Frost Giant , and you are going to use your Hero Power way way more than playing Wonders.
I am really really happy that you like the expansion!! many people dont love it as much because how unreliable Wonders can be.

What does Traveler Fredrick do?
Orgimmar- gain charge
Stormwind- gain divine shield
Stranglethorn- add 2 bananas to your hand
Pandaria- return a random minion to it’s owner’s hand
Naxxramas- gain Deathrattle: summon a 1/2 slime with taunt
Gvg- Transform itself to a random minion that costs (1) more
Blackrock- equip a 2/2 weapon
Tgt- Joust. If you win gain +2/+2.
