Something that people who say Tunnel Trogg is bad don't realize is that Shaman is a class who mostly wins if he has board control. Decks have becoming more and more aggro so it has been difficult the last few expansion for shamans to win the early game. They currently have only 1 good 1-mana drop that can stay on the board, Zombie Chow that is. If shaman could have another 1 mana minion with 3 health then shaman can probably win board control in the early game. It really doesn't matter that Tunnel Trogg isn't AS good as Mana Wyrm and can't snowball as much but Mana Wyrm is probably the strongest 1-drop that exists. Also you probably will just be attacking 1 health aggro minions with your Tunnel Trogg so it really doesn't matter if it gets buffed. Oh and shaman has always had difficulty with dealing 1 damage consistently, that will maybe change.
TL:DR Tunnel Trogg is really good 1-drop and kills aggro minions and can act as a ping.
but how relevant is that in a meta that is currently controlled by reno control?
To be fair the Meta will probably be crazy until a little while after the full adventure is out. The next two weeks will probably be a TON of battlecry decks and the week after that a mix of whatever the new legendary is plus reno and brann
i hate to say this, but this weeks adventure honestly doesnt bring anything worthwhile to non reno decks imo. i think today and MAYBE even tomorrow you will see ppl trying out some mediocre battle cry decks but then realize that this week was just crap.
Brann is good, and he fits aggro well too. Seems crazy to underestimate a card that makes +4 Attack Abusive Sergeants and +2/+2 Defenders of Argus. You don't have to make a Brann deck to be good, because so many decks already just run a lot of battlecries regardless.
definitely. but i really wanted to push the idea that reno is a bunch of fun and was something new for the game, this week including brann i dont see anything coming out of it that isnt basically just the same ol stuff. and to me thats boring.
Just got pummeled by a guy who played him out before big overload turn followed by lavashock into neptulon and it was an 8/3 I think...It can ramp up nicely for a 1 mana card.

Yeah I played one tonight against a CW where he had to BGH it to stay alive...for a little while.
Tunnel Trogg is great, it's absolutely a better 1 drop than zombie chow no questions, well in the right deck at least. Using 2x Feral Spirit for the first time in a long time.
Brann I am still not sure on. The best use I have gotten out of him was with antique healbot. With fire elemental, his power is not as good as I had hoped because it does 6 damage to one target instead of getting to pick a target for each shot.
I don't think this had made the shaman OP and I do't think now everyone will run shaman (***cough*secret mcpally?**cough) but I never really thought that anyway. Overall I have been having a lot of success on the ladder with shaman and love beating paladins now (4-0 last couple days) and that is really all that I could hope for from this card set, to suck a little less.
As far as battlecry I have found Brann fun but not consitent and rumbling ele terrible
If you think new shaman cards are good, overload & battlecry could be new archetypes, I recommend you to watch StrifeCro and Kibler stream. 4head
the decks sucked last week, why would adding a brann make it good all of a sudden? lol
Just pwned 2 secretadins, 1 handlock and 3 druids on casual with TrogGod and brann+boom, i will give a try at ranked...
yet, i think Brann is not a good card for the deck... but Fireguard Destroyer with trogg is really nice. :)
