I'm new to playing Shaman (because I was just able to finally craft the cards that I was never getting in packs). I find that I have a very bad time against aggro (Zoo in particular) if I can't draw a Lightning Storm. Even then, they get out of hand sometimes. What kind of cards are you guys using in the early game to maintain some kind of board sanity?
Also, are there any big No-No plays, on our part, that I should know about?
That's pretty much the way of it. The biggest trick is to often hold off on the lightning storm don't just use it asap. if you don't get one sometimes its frustrating being overrun. Spirit wolves help or running any taunt cards. I'm over 50% versus Zoo but it doesn't *feel like it* because sometimes you just draw the wrong cards.
Yeah, that's basically it. I go endless rounds without a single lightning storm against Zoo, and I feel like I need to step it up somehow. I've added a few early taunts and I'm trying to hold on. I've been floating between ranks 13-15 for like a week now. I can't seem to break through. Also, what program do you use to track your win progress? I was searching on google but I am afraid to click on any links I don't know are safe.
Dont flood the board against hunters. pace yourself. I have said it before and Ill say it here. Shamans are a class of patience. many times my games end with my health in the teens or lower, but I am the winner. anticipate hunters marks/UTH and polymorphs/flamestrikes. Also you need cards that stick, creepers, harvest golems, and sludge belchers/defender of argus are all great to keep the tempo in your favor. when going against hunters you want to mulligan for wolves or creeper. When going against ramp druids you want to mulligan for hex or RBW/lightning bolt/lava burst. just keep tooling around with your deck, glhf.

Thanks for your input!
Besides 1-mana removals you need drops like Undertaker and Haunted Creeper for the early game.
