Well being a dead card just means it sits in your hand unplayed most of the time. I've noticed this is true while playing, using it to double defias ringleader once in a great while is ok, but any AoE will make it a wasted card. It could be useful for double leeroy, in specific situations. That's 12 damage for 2 cards and 6 mana, but it also fills your opponents board with 4 whelps. It would either have to end the game, or be followed with a blade flurry.
Shiv is probably bad due to it costing 2 mana for a single damage + cycle. If shiv was one mana it would be a good card I believe. Most of the time it would be better to play a novice engineer for 2 mana, since you gain the card draw, and have the 1 damage as a persistent board presence that can trade for an enemy card, or even be buffed to possibly trade for more value.

Shiv does not do enough (why none runs Moonfie)
Shadow step is a card you don't want to use because you need to keep minions on the board only works in the later game or early to draw a card from novice engineer again
Shadowstep is not too bad of a card, it just doesn't fit in the early game as much as the card seems to imply. If used in an early game to cycle for the following, it only does the following purpose:
Defias Ringleader: Nets you a 2/1
Novice Engineer: Cantrips (no extra effect, many people think you gain card advantage with this but all you're doing is cantripping)
SI:7: Deals 2 damage
There's a subtlety but when used with the cards above, the net gain of Shadowstep is terrible. a 2/1 or a cantrip is basically wasting the potential of Shadowstep. This was an issue when I was running two Shadowsteps thinking they would dominate the early game. The issue was always losing card advantage in the late game, even if it means having a better earlier board position.
I think one copy of Shadowstep is actually not bad (especially if you don't have the legendaries). Shadowstep in my opinion has most value when it comes to recycling Argents and DID (even if it means card disadvantage, but that is usually offset by you not losing your creatures through favorable trades, as well as pushing extra damage over the current and next turn). It's also great with Argent Commanders and Leeroy (10 mana 10 damage and 6 mana 12 damage respectively). All in all, I wouldn't recommend playing more than 1 copy, and definitely don't play it early game to try to gain 1-2 extra damage or a misleading cantrip from Novice.
If you wouldn't mind could you post your rogue deck that you used to get to rank 12 legend also?
Flood_ was 67 in NA before the patch I would listen to him...
Im confused, who do I listen to? the guy who was ranked 12 or the guy who was ranked 67? They are conflicting a little and I honestly just wanted to see Floods deck, sorry if I came across as sarcastic.

It is okay, I thought that is was sarcasm. Look on the front page of the browse decks to find it :) he has a 95% WIn Ratio and all of the comments say how amazing it is :P
