Hey guys! I have always wanted to play control priest but the deck was not really viable a few weeks ago. But with the new LoE cards Entomb and Museum Curator control priest became more than viable! I've been watching some stream from Zetalot and based on his list I made a few changes (only 2 actually). I removed 2 Acolyte of Pain and put in 1 Zombie Chow and 1 Velen's Chosen. Chow because of the fast meta and Velen's cause of museum curator and both Deathlord. Do you guys think it's good for laddering right now? I'm currently on rank 8 and I play on NA. Here is the full deck list http://imgur.com/DCwOAOe Thanks in advance! :)
Personally I'd keep the 1x Velen's Chosen. As Idiotbox00 said above, it's more of a personal preference than anything I feel, and on those turns where you are lacking early control, it can make a huge difference in how long your Deathlords hold down the fort.
For my money I'd swap one of the Pyromancer's Apprentice for a Shadow Word: Pain. 1x of them around is really helpful for stopping those troublesome early Knife Jugglers, Shielded Mini-bots, Mana Wyrms, etc. 2 is too many, but 1 can help, and I always end up not getting value from one of the Apprentices when using 2.
I like your list and the changes you've made. Velen's is the most important card in the mirror match and getting it on a deathlord can be game over for aggro. 2x Museum Curators is a must, it is your early and late game. What I love about priest right now is that there is no wrong answer as far as deck lists go. If you like blademasters run them. like Velen's better? Have at it! 1x pyro, 1x chow, whatever you are most comfortable with. Winning with the deck is more about your skill than what is in a few slots, all of the variations are viable. If you ever watch Zeta's stream he is constantly changing things in and out and he consistently wins no matter what he's playing with.
I actually like SW:P, it also improves the freeze mage matchup, but I not sure what is better yet. Anyway thanks a lot for the answers guys! I've been playing this exact list for a while and It's been really good. I'm rank 6 atm and hopefully I can get to legend for the first time :)

Thanks for answering! So in this case I'm curious, what would put instead of Velen's Chosen?
Anyone out there? :(

Just my two cents.
