What is this madness you ask? Quest Rogue vs The Lich King?!
Well, I got sick of his royal Lichness destroying my Murlocs on turn 6 with Blizzard every. freaking. time. So I made my own deck. And it's super super fun.
This deck only actually contains the following cards:
- 1 x Fire Fly
- 2 x Mistress of Mixtures
- 1 x The Caverns Below
- 2 x Doomsayer
- 2 x Igneous Elemental
- 2 x Tomb Pillager
- 2 x Sludge Belcher
- 1 x N'Zoth, the Corruptor
The rest of the cards get destroyed when Lichy-poo plays The Price of Power.
So, how to win?
Mulligan: Keep The Caverns Below and mulligan hard for minions. The god hand is all minions and you draw a minion your first card.
Turn 1: Play The Caverns Below. Duh. Then he thins your deck for you. Thanks Arthas!
Turns 2 - 6: Control the board with your minions. Avoid taking damage as best you can. In a perfect world, his board will be clear and you will have done the following:
- Played your Fire Fly and kept the Flame Elemental in your hand.
- Played and traded your 2 x Igneous Elementals so they gave you 4 x Flame Elementals which you kept in your hand.
- Played and traded your 2 x Tomb Pillagers so they gave you 2 x The Coin which you kept in your hand.
Turn 7: Sludge Belcher and Doomsayer. You don't actually need the Belcher, but if you play him here he saves you 5 damage to the face and then returns with a vengeance on Turn 10 #nospoilers.
Turn 8: Play 2 x The Coin. You now have 10 Mana. Play 5 x Flame Elementals. You have now finished the Quest. Play Crystal Core. You now have 5 x 5/5s.
Turn 9: Clear his board and go face.
Turn 10: N'Zoth, the Corruptor gives you:
- a vanilla 5/5 (N'Zoth, the Corruptor itself)
- 2 x 5/5s with a deathrattle that gives you 2 x 1 Mana 5/5s (Igneous Elemental)
- 2 x 5/5s with a deathrattle that gives you The Coin (Tomb Pillager)
- a 5/5 taunt with a deathrattle that summons you another 5/5 with taunt (Sludge Belcher)!
- and, if you played her earlier in the game, a 5/5 with a deathrattle that heals you for 4 health (Mistress of Mixtures).
Control the board and go face before you take too much face damage from Remorseless Winter and Fatigue.
Enjoy!
