You just spam murloc and evole with Gentle Megasaur ( Finish before turn 7 of no success restart !!)
This deck is seriously the best. The fastest that beat the lich king! restart until you get at least double tidecaller, would be better with a mirror image too but i made due without, and some murlocs, best synergy is deadscale and grimscale
Got him on the 3rd restart.
My hand/draw was as follows: double tidecaller/mirror image/nova.
t1 tidecaller -> t2 tidecaller/mirror image -> t3 frostbolt on 3/4 -> t4 murloc tidehunter/ping -> t5 megasaur +3 attack -> t6 warleader topdeck
quite insane topdeck(s) but well.
1st go thanks!... I restarted my mulligan about 6 times though till I got a tidecaller, he obliterated it but turn 6 manged to adapt 4 murlocs and put mirror image down... turn 7 top decked warleader before frosty.. ty bro... easiest so far of 4... 5 to go :-P
1st try, thanks !!
Takes me 5 draws just to get a good hand, already 30 tries in and I keep dying turn 7
Can someone tell me the exact cards you played in order to win?
"deal two damage to all enemies and freeze them" instantly murders any attempt I make
what I did was ALWAYS play murloc tidecaller in turn 1. if u don't have it, restart.
if the lick king plays the 1 mana 2/3 minion in turn 1 with the coin, it will kill your tidecaller on his next turn unless u prevent that. u MUST keep your turn 1 tidecaller alive the entire time. rockpool hunter is the best turn 2 play because it buffs your tidecaller to 3 attack, enough to kill the 2/3 , and buffs it to 3 health, enough to survive the trade. bilefin tidehunter is another decent option here since the taunt it summons can save your tidecaller, but you need to have a follow up way to save it once the taunt dies. ideally, by the end of your second turn, you want to have a rockpool hunter and a 3/1 tidecaller on the board. if the lich king does not use the coin in his first turn, expect a turn 2 coldwraith. this can be tough to deal with, but still is doable. prioritize protecting your tidecaller.
now, if the lich king uses obliterate in his second turn on your tidecaller, restart. if he doesn't, he will likely use his hero power unless he still has the coin. you can trade your rockpool hunter into the 2/2 ghoul and play something of your own. a murloc warleader is, obviously the best option, and murloc tidehunter isn't bad either. if you have coldlight seer, DONT play it if the lich king's board is empty. if you can, instead play other murlocs like another tidecaller or a tidehunter to get more immediate value out of your first tidecaller. getting coldlight seer out is not necessary until turn 5, when the health boost can save your murlocs from dying to blizzard in turn 6, unless you need to safely trade into a turn 2 or 3 coldwraith.
if you have a warleader and tidecaller by turn 3 and the lich k oblits the warleader, you can still win, but its harder.
your goal is to win by turn 5 which is absolutely doable. but as a precaution, I would advise putting on old murk eye, which the maker of the deck in this thread seems to have forgotten about. if your board gets blizzarded in turn 6, old murk eye could still win you the game.
also, don't use deadscale knight (stats are simply not good enough for aggro deck) or mirror image. I found that having 2 0/2 taunts on your board can work against you in turn 4 or 5 when you need to drop a warleader or charge murloc to win the game but cant b/c your board is full. stick flamecannon in there instead, it can be VERY useful for killing a turn 2 or 3 coldwraith.
hope this helps!
Thanks this helped me soooooo much!!!! Can you make the cards as a pop-out thingy in your text though? It might be even more helpfull
I have had many difficulties with all sorts of combo/expensive decks, but I eventually decided to just build a simple murloc deck for all the classes to see how that would go.
in the past hour, I have beaten TLK with mage, paladin, rogue, and shaman using essentially the same murloc deck, the only differences being a few class specific spells. 2 of those 4 were first try, and the other 2 were 3rd try.
its not that hard. the way I did it was restart if I don't have murloc tidecaller in opening hand. if I don't have a bilefin tidehunter or rockpool hunter to play in turn 2, AND TLK coined out the 1 mana 2/3 in his first turn, I restart since I cant protect my tidecaller. one of those times I beat him was without any warleader, but only cause he didn't have oblit. if u have a tidecaller and warleader out at the same time, I found obliterate isn't really a problem. he always chooses warleader over tidecaller, but in turn 3 or 4 when the warleader is only buffing maybe 2 or 3 murlocs while your tidecaller has 6+ attack the tidecaller is actually worth more. all my wins were in turn 5 so I didn't have to worry about blizzard.
murloc decks work, guys. and since you have to win fast, you can restart very quick if u know you cant win, so you can do more attempts in less time (not like decks where u wait until turn 7 to see if u need to restart or not). plus, u don't need to craft a whole bunch of different class cards or legends, just the murlocs. the only class where it wouldn't work that well is hunter since 14 murlocs is the max u can have. I'm about to try the murloc deck with priest and warrior. I think it could carry anyone through all the classes except hunter.
oh, and I use all the murlocs except murloc raider in the decks since they suck compared to all the others. some classes have their own murlocs (paladin has grimscale chum). I put them in if I have them and remove the blowgil slipers.
also, I DID NOT use gentle megasaur in these decks because I don't have it! if u don't have them, DO NOT bother crafting them before at least trying 4-5 times without them. they are absolutely 100% NOT needed!!!
hope this helps someone!
edit: lol I completely forgot that TLK gains 100 armor against warrior and destroys all 3 or less mana minions in your deck vs druid. forget that I said murloc can carry you through almost the entire challenge, because it cant for druid and warrior as well as hunter XD
edit: so I ended up beating TLK with essentially the same murloc deck for ALL classes except druid and warrior. WITHOUT gentle megasaur! I encourage all of you to use murloc deck for this challenge ASAP before the Warleader nerf.
Good luck!
First try? My ass! Have tried over 30 times with NO LUCK at all. This deck is impossible.
Thx! I need only one try)
Very nice deck ! Easy in in 3 time.
Thank you worked for me third try. i ended the game with 23 health because of the Deadscale Knight buffed from the Murloc Warleader.
For real, the only people commenting are the people that got the perfect draw the first time
I'll be very honest with you. I've tried for weeks now this fight with lots of different strats and decks, this was the best by far.
Yes, is very luck dependant, but what do you expected? It's a damn rigged fight, is plain stupid to start the game with only 1 life in a class that has no healing, and if you try to heal, you'll just get behind on board, that will just make you loose the game.
So, you have to start with a very good hand (I won with Tidecaller, Warleader and Megasaur), draw very good cards (I drew Rockpoll on turn 2), hope to see no taunt nor blizzard, and have luck on the Megasaur options (only windfury or +3 attack will give you victory, so its 1/4 chance getting those). Yes, good luck with that. But it's possible tho =)
I beat it on < 20 tries, I guess (not counting restarting for perfect hand).
Um, the lich king boss fight came out a week ago... you can't have been trying for weeks. Days, sure. Don't use hyperbole.
thx bud. i love that murloc synergy
deck is trash af lol, you literally have to get the exact perfect starting 3 cards to open with then get the exact luck to not get fucked by a 2 mana spell to destroy your best minion
Definitely a hard boss battle but I made it. Need loads of luck to get the perfect draw and LK to be stupid with his cards. I got it on the 4th or 5th try.
Mulligan recommendations?
Murloc Tidecaller, Frostbolt, Mirror Image, and some cheap murlocs. If you have good hand, keep Murloc Warleader
