Hi,
I'm Danny and is a regular Legend player, hitting Legend every season.
i took my previous Top 100 Legend C'Thun Warrior list and tweaked it to counter some popular meta decks to hit Legend this season.
Some cards I swapped in were Cleave, Beckoner of Evil, Bash, and ooze against Aggro.
Against Control, I swapped in Doomcaller.
The deck have a good win rate against Pirate Warrior, Aggro Shaman, Renolock and Dragon Priest.
It struggles against Jade Druid and Rogue.
Mulligan and Strategy
Against Aggro - War Axe, Cleave, Bash, Ravaging Ghoul, Beckoner of Evil, Disciple of C'thun, Acidic Swamp Ooze. If you have war axe, you can consider keeping acolyte of pain, shield block + shield slam if you don't have the other starting mulligan cards.
You want all your early cards to control board and minimize damage. C'Thun activators are great such as disciple and beckoner since you need two cards to get shield bearer and vek'lor going.
Gameplan - Control the board early and once it goes to the late game or when you drop shield bearers, Vek'lor, C'thun, you win.
Against Reno Lock - Keep c'thun activators such as beckoner, disciple and C'thun's chosen. Keep either an execute or shield slam (sometimes both) in your starting hand. I would keep shield block and bash if I have shield slam in mulligan. It's used to kill mountain giant / twilight drake when they drop it on turn 4. I don't find war axe a high priority keep in this match up since they don't have early minions to kill and they can ooze it. Look for an activator for execute if you have it in starting hand. Cards to consider, ravaging ghoul, disciple. Dropping acolyte on curve on an empty board is fine as it baits out a shadow bolt or you can trade it with a giant/drake as an execute activator.
Gameplan - Play C'thun then Doomcaller for second C'thun. You can even burst them after they jaraxxus. This is a skill match up and if you don't have experience playing it, you can lose easily. Simple mistakes will cause you the game. When play well, you are favored especially with Doomcaller. They have limited big threats so use your removals carefully, Try not to waste your executes and shield slams on small minions less than 6 mana (except twilight drake).
Against Control - Mulligan for C'thun activators (beckoner, disciple, c'thun's chosen), war axe. Keep justicar if you're facing another control warrior.
Gameplan - For most match ups, fatigue and burst with double C'thun.
I'm short on time to write any guide at the moment but want to get the list out there for you to try.
With enough likes or +
- I'll create a more thorough discussion about playing the deck and against classes.

Thanks for stopping by.
no replacement for its effect.
Have you tried adding any MSG cards? I tried a couple different tech choices from MSG, but they just feel weaker.
i haven't tried it but i think the new cards fit the classic warrior list more with armor smith rather than c'thun. C'thun warrior have less room to fit new cards since a good chunk is dedicated to c'thun activators.
I play on asian server and have close to 80% winrate from rank 8 to 4 (4 stars right now).
Why without Brann? This is the most important combo card with battlecry and C'Thun sinergy, with AS and Vek'lor for example!
Imo, this deck is not the best of C'Thun Warriors. Again, Imo.
It's too slow for the meta. 10 mana combos in your examples.
Have you tried it yet? I have close to 80% winrate from rank 8 to 4 so far. This is counting that I just insta conceded to the 2 jade druids once they played their first jade cards. This deck does struggle against rogue (I have a positive winrate against rogue, but this is due to a small sample size and obvious misplays by my opponents tbh) and jade druid is an insta loss, but against everything else in my local meta, I feel like this deck is even or favored. Try it out!
but the C'Thun decks are slow
How would you replace 2nd Crazed Worshipper?
I haven't tried it yet but another c'thun activator is always nice such as Beckoner. you can also put in acolyte for draw, bash for removal, revenge for aoe.
It's cool to see you bring back C'thun in MSG. I hit high legend on the Asian server with my own list when Old Gods came out, so I am very familiar with how the deck functions. I would love to see a full guide and see where our mulligans and other choices differ based on this list. Anyways, great job on the deck!
I can see this deck being very efficient at ranks 5 - Legend.... Meta in that range is approximately 30% Aggro Shaman/Pirate according to the live Data Reaper
The VS data report shows 19% aggro shaman and 21% aggro warriors in ranks 5 - 1. Another 19% reno lock. This deck performs well against that meta. loses t jade druid and miracle rogue but that's 16%.
Whats the reason for not incuding gorehowl and grommash ?
gorehowl doesn't help with aggro. c'thun is used as a finisher instead of grommash.
Is this deck supposed for wild only?
nope.
Honestly, I was surprised when realized that this deck works pretty well in current meta, really nice against aggro decks. Thought, I literally can't beat jade Druid with it, at all. Fortunately, there are not so many of them. What do you think about 2x alley armorsmith instead of crazed worshippers? Works great for me, increases chances against pirate decks really well. And maybe some more draw cards to get a c'thun faster in control match ups?
The deck needs enough c'thun activators for shield bearer and vek'lor. I had to take out draws to fit in more early control cards against aggro. Can't fit in the slams or another acolyte. You can check out my old C'thun list to see how different it is.
