Videos featuring the deck: (not optimal play)
You always want either N'Zoth's First Mate or Small-Time Buccaneer first. Fiery War Axe is a hopeful. You can sometimes settle for Upgrade.
And always play Small-Time before your weapon. That way if you play him turn 1 and Fiery War Axe on 2 not only will you be perfectly on curve but you will have 6 damage ready for early game.
But if you don't get the Fiery War Axe or small-time you can play N'Zoth's First Mate to get that Patches summon + an early 1/3 weapon. The sooner you get a weapon the sooner you can play your other pirates like the 2/1 charge Southsea Deckhand.
The other important side of the mulligan is that Patches will be drawn if you don't play a pirate ASAP. So having at least one cheap pirate at the start is a good safe-guard. That way; if you absolutely must you can just play a pirate even if their boost isn't going to go off just to get a confirmed free Patches summon.
Hope this helped! This is my first post here. (I've only been using this deck since MSoG came out - it's too good)
it works
lol
Only if you get lucky with no taunts and good draw.
Replacement for Hobart Grapplehammer ???
Dread Corsair
Grimestreet Pawnbroker overal far worse but the result in the short term can be just as good.
Am I the only one just loosing with this deck? Halp pls
you clearly dont know how to use it
Yo dude you totally stole my deck ;) I've been running this for months now..... want proof here is my youtube running it. youtube pirates hearthstone
here is my deck on hearthstone from a few months ago http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/655120-wild-pirates-guaranteed-lvl-3
Until the last update though i was just running it in wild. There wasn't enough of a push to do standard until small time and patches and Genzo came out.
Any replace ment for sir finley ?? no advent. in LOE
Put this up there with every agro deck out there where no skill players will play them because you get <50% wins with tout knowing how to play. There fore you see this deck every other game. Thanks blizzard for more of the same.
K, so after some testing, you either win by turn 4 or 5 or you loose. Since there is so many 1 and 2 drops you might run out of cards to play except weapons. If they drop a minion with taunt early on, then you loose major tempo and possibly the game.
There are many decks that run early taunt minions so this can be an issue if they have it.
I added 2 cold light seers for card draw and so far it's been a great success. Dump hand by turn 2, draw 2 cards on turn 3 while dropping a body.
Who would you say has higher craft-priority?
Patches? or Hobart?
Off the top of my head I'd say Hobart, but it seems people value Patches more.
Is the deck even playable without one of the two?
Thank you!
Patches, hobart is not that good 1 damage is a little bit shitty
My recommendation is to craft neither, or at least not until you have opened one. The new expansion has been out for less than a week, and the meta is unsettled. For all we know next week a new refined list might hard counter this deck and the dust would be wasted.
However if I had to, I'd craft Hobart. Patches is amazing value wise, but if pirates ends up falling off the map, Hobart has a higher likelihood to find himself in other decks.
craft patches, don't worry about hobart.
Exactly, wise words!
Hobart as actually won me the game twice so far, while playing a few games with this deck. When they have 6 hp left and you draw an Arcanite Reaper you either win or loose because of Hobart Grapplehammer.
