PLAYSTYLE

Face Hunter is a deck that tries to win by optimizing its damage; it needs to be efficient and squeeze in every hero power it can to maximize the damage put on its opponent's face. Face Hunter is the lowest curving deck in the game, using efficient 1-drops, Charge minions, and a reloadable weapon along with burn to kill its opponent as fast as possible.

Face Hunter often finds itself winning games by turn 7 if it doesn't get overwhelmed by Healing and Taunt, which are the two things that really shut this deck down. Face Hunter historically preys on other aggressive decks, as it can just push damage faster than them and force them into trading into your minions.

One draw of Face Hunter for many players is its fast games, and that it's fairly easy to pick up, not costing a lot of dust to create. Karazhan gave this deck a new tool in Cloaked Huntress, which allows you to push aggressively in the early game with the tempo swing it provides you.

META

Face Hunter makes a comeback after the balance patch, as some players have decided that 9-mana Call of the Wild is too slow, and since all of the Shamans are Mid-Range now, it has a good matchup there. Prior to the nerfs, Face Hunter was just a worse version of Aggro Shaman, but since Aggro Shaman seems to have fallen off, perhaps this deck can fill that role.

The deck featured is from C4mlann and Xzirez. C4mlann managed to climb to top 5 legend with the deck. With the Call nerf, this style of Hunter is looking to be very promising.
