This boss proved to be one of my most challenging ever to fight. Luckily, priest has some great mechanics for this boss.
Divine Spirit, Power Word: Shield, and Inner Fire are always great in PvE, and this is no exception, allowing you to create a huge minion to deal with the pesky 2/2's.
Thoughtsteal and Mind Vision are also super efficient cards because you can steal the Icky Imps and use them to clear his, basically dealing a lot of damage each turn.
Northshire Cleric allows you to play a 1-drop, and if he has a Soulfire in his hand, he WILL use it to remove, which usually makes him coin out a 1-drop, and emptying his hand.
Priest of the Feast is probably your best minion, as with all of your small spells can heal you up while burning time for the Mass Dispel to come in. He also has a high health (able to tank quite a few Icky Imps) and still keep you alive.
If you have any changes you want to share, don't be afraid to comment or give positive feedback!
This boss took me upward toward an hour, but when I added Mass Dispel, he was an easy win.
Edit: Mass Dispel might silence all of his imps, but that gives you a chance to heal back up. Keep this in mind turn 4/5, as you will also need to remove the bodies.
Forget mass dispel. Use potion of madness and shadow madness to steal the imps.
Thx in 1st try!
I can't tell you how much I was struggling with this boss, but I got it first try with your help! Thanks a million! Made two changes, only due to not having the cards you selected.
-Inner Fire x2, +Power Word: Glory x2
-Thoughtsteal x1, +Convert x1
It never came up, but I added Convert as a replacement for my missing Thoughsteal, in hopes of stealing a copy of his Kil'rek. However, Thoughtsteal or Mind Vision gave me his Summon Kil'rek, so it all worked out. I noticed that if you can get a Kil'rek on your side, it's basically game over - especially if you buff it with Power Word: Shield. He doesn't want to attack it because he knows it'll hurt him, so he just doesn't attack at all most of the time. And when he does, you can usually heal your Kil'rek and use your other minions to finish him.
Also, Power Word: Glory was surprisingly helpful. He buffed one of his Icky Imp's right in the very beginning, making it a 4/4 minion. I didn't have a good start, so I played PW:G on his Icky Imp. It's a bit gimmicky (seems like the AI can't do the math), but he will almost always attack your hero with that buffed minion, which is now cancelled out thanks to PW:G. That alone saved me multiple times. Though, I suppose I accidentally cheated with it, and others may not want to abuse that.
Yeah, I didn't think about Convert or Power Word: Glory because i don't actually have them crafted, but they would definitely be useful.
Thanks man this deck really works! Done at 4th attempt!
Thanks!
