Hey everyone! I've been playing with this deck since I finished the last wing and it's a blast. This is my version of a mill that has a couple of cool combos to maintain board control and then end it with a blast by getting the Golden Monkey.
The only thing I've noticed so far is that running two Antique Healbots might be a little excessive so maybe I can play around with that. (EDIT: Took away a Healbot and added King Mukla. MUCH smoother :] ) The Beneath the Grounds has been amazing combined with the Coldlight Oracles.
The most enjoyable part is having a ton of Golden Monkeys in the deck so the chance of drawing to them is high.
Probably not ladder material but that's all I play on and the average win rate is about 55% around rank 12 or so.
Heck of a fun deck. Thanks for reading!
Garbage for ladder since it doesnt stand a chance against paladin. Not even fun to play unless you draw like a god.
I really wanted to use this deck, bit I can't get even 1 win with it. With no instructions, I'm going to suggest that only really experienced rogue players bother trying.
Playing something similar. Have only gotten to play the golden monkey once, but I already killed them with Fatigue. : ( Prep is def worth having for faster vanishes, if you need them.
Alextrasaza and Poisoned Blade to help with health on aggro and clean up as well as using a weapon even when you are switching to Priest ability for healing purposes.
What is with deadly poison+blade flury? Would be a better boardclear and i think you draw with coldlight enough cards.
I took Beneath, Fan and Mukkla out and replaced it with 2xPrep, 2xDeadly and 1xBlade Flury. What you think?
had a couple of good games but this deck has some serious issues on ladder would recommend as fun deck off ladder. also the beneath the ground makes the mill part more difficult to pull off
What do you mean it is harder to pull off mill just beacuse of Beneath the Grounds? Do you know when you draw a card if you it is Beneath the Grounds it also draws another card to his hand?
but if the Ambushes get milled they wont get played
well... i just want to try out the effect of the golden monkey, so i guess i just test this deck on the inn keeper. choose against shaman and lost 3 times. won on the fourth time. tried on mage and only get the golden monkey on the 2nd last card.
I'm a mill rouge player myself and seeing the result.... I can say this deck is the fastest way to find the golden monkey no doubt. But whether you can survive before finding it is the biggest problem.
What happens when you use this deck vs this deck, was lucky enough to get warlock hero power from early finley combined with willfred from monkey
Mill decks are traditionally slow decks, I replaced Loatheb with Justicar Trueheart because a 4 health heal or +4 armor(via Sir Finley Mrrgglton) is a death sentence for someone you're killing with fatigue. Being able to heal your Deathlord for 4 is devastating. I feel like the upgraded hero power is a lot more useful for the long game than stopping spells for one turn. Those spells are going to come, you're drawing for your opponent.
I also replaced Beneath the Grounds with Preparation, it's more in line with traditional Mill rogue in that your Vanish can be offensive instead of just a defensive 6 mana "i have been overwhelmed" turn. Also Beneath the Grounds doesn't give you a minion when your opponent has 10 cards in hand, it's just extremely annoying.
Yeah, aggro decks even in casual. Druid aggro I'm like 0/4 now hah!
I partially agree with the critics: Aggro deks are very hard to counter, since there are not many cards for board clean... but control-ish type of enemyes are extremely funny to play against. In 10 games I have a 50% win rate, so not that good (even if I never played mill deks before, so mabye I will improve); but, still, the deck is super fun and a little bit different than the usual. Higly reccomended if you don't mind lose some games if that means the chance of crushing the enemy's soul with a bunch of legendaries!
You cant survive against any aggro... but its a fun idea
This is the funnest deck I've seen in AGES. Massive props dude :D
Really fun deck! What do you mean this is not ladder material its so good! and is there a replacement for Beneath the Grounds
hm I've been thinking for a bit and I can't come up with a good replacement it's kind of a unique card
anyone reading this have any ideas?
Van Cleef
Preparation
Would gang up not be needed in this deck?I'm stupid lmao
