Okay so this is an insanely greedy list!^^
I don't run Acolyte of Pain since the curve is so high that card advantage should never be an issue and you don't want to fatique, you still have 2 cycles in Shield Block and Varian Wrynn can sometimes act as 3 card draw or hopefully even better.
I only run 1 Armorsmith which without Acolyte of Pain might make you think there's lacking potential Execute activators, but there's still 2 Cruel Taskmaster in the deck and I'm running double Bash.
Bash is actually a really strong card I think, it can kill early game minions by itself and help finish of damaged ones in the late game, it'll give you extra armor which may be used with Shield Slam, it can work as 3 damage reach and it can work as an activator for Execute.
I run 1 Big Game Hunter as I'm expecting there to be more 7 attack minons being played after the expansion and 1 Justicar Trueheart as the potential armor gain it gives is so huge in a deck as slow as this one.
These are of course minions you don't want Varian Wrynn to pull, but there are many, many more good targets for it to hit.
Wouldn't it be better to have master champions instead of sun walker due to the high curve?
The Master Jouster was a serious consideration, but I think the consistency of Sunwalker as well as the times where it get's pulled from Varian Wrynn makes it a slightly better choice, could be wrong though, definitely worth testing the Master Jouster! ;)
And don't forget, Sunwalker adds massive Kel'Thuzad value! :D
Emperor is indeed not that useful in this deck, thanks for pointing that out, will definitely trade him out for a Shieldmaiden or a Sunwalker.
I think both Bash and Shield Block will see better use in this deck than Armorsmith and I don't think Whirlwind will be that consistently useful without Acolytes and only 1 Armorsmith, don't see room to add both a 2nd Armorsmith and a Whirlwind to the deck.
