Hello everybody, I'm yet another Hearthstone player who enjoys the game, and today I noticed no one has really put the effort into putting up a in depth Murloc Deck despite Blackrock Mountain recently being released.  So I decided I'd create my first deck on here and post one myself! Now is this the fastest deck for getting to Legend rank?  Of course not, you should probably go play Hunter for that, although funny enough recently I've actually had more success with this than Face Hunter.  But is this a solid deck for getting to Legendary that's also a heck of a lot of fun to play?  Hell yeah it is :D!  So let's dig in!

Card Explanations

Power Overwhelming - An extra four damage for one mana will save you in more situations than you can count, plus you can still save units you use this on by playing Youthful Brewmaster.

Soulfire - Same thing as with Power Overwhelming, the extra damage wins you games.

Grimscale Oracle - This provides extra attack to your Murlocs which can really add up.

Murloc Tidecaller - This card gains attack whenever you summon another Murloc, so as you can probably imagine this card can really snowball out of control sometimes.  Especially a good early play.

Voidwalker - A durable one mana minion with Taunt that will buy your other units large amounts of extra time and can really annoy your opponent, especially since it does have one attack plus it can survive even longer when being played with Young Priestess.

Young Priestess - Speaking of, Young Priestess will provide you so much value with the bonus health it gives your minions.  Countless times your minions to survive attacks they wouldn't of because of this card.  Using a coin to drop this and another one mana card is a fantastic opener, and to really want to raise some hell; drop two Young Priestesses right next to each other then use your hero ability the turn after that.  Now you have an extra card and two one mana units with the stats 2/3.  Also worth noting is that some may pick Blood Imp over this, and It certainly is a viable choice, but its stealth won't be doing anything against a lot of the same spells that kill Young Priestess, except the difference is that Young Priestess gets two whole attack letting you dish out solid amounts of damage plus it will often force your opponent into sacrificing a minion to kill it.

Bluegill Warrior - With all the buffs it can recieve from this deck, you will often use its Charge to quickly take out powerful units or the last of the enemy hero's health.

Knife Juggler - This card works well with all the low cost minions in this deck and will end up killing many of your opponent's minions, this especially works well against other aggro decks.

Murloc Tidehunter - The two units for one effect combos incredibly well with not only Knife Juggler and Old Murk-Eye, but with all the Murlocs that boost the attributes of other Murlocs.

Puddlestomper - Decent stats and dies way less easily than Murloc Raider.

Youthful Brewmaster - A little bit of a peculiar pick, but I feel it can save your own minions often either by refreshing their health or by saving them from the after effect of Power Overwhelming or maybe even something else that your opponent plays.  It can allow you to use the Charge effect of your cards more than once and it works extra well with Coldlight Oracle and Coldlight Seer, allowing for their battle cries to be used more than once.  Even just playing it on an empty board works.  I think it just works really well with this deck.

Coldlight Oracle - The extra draw power helps with a deck relying on low cost minions so much, plus at times it even causes your opponent to discard cards due to their hand being full.  In this deck these can allow you to draw up to eight whole extra cards (Youthful Brewmasters allow for twice as many draws).

Coldlight Seer - The two health this give to all your other Murlocs is crucial and will make a massive difference, it's especially a big play when you can use the battlecry more than once.  In this deck these can allow you to gain up to 48 bonus health points overall (Youthful Brewmasters allow for twice as many health points granted).

Murloc Warleader - The most important card in the deck, providing an insane stat boost to all your other Murlocs.  When you play this in conjunction with several other Murlocs, there's a good chance that it's game over for your opponent.  You can drop two of these for a maximum of 24 bonus attack points overall (and 12 health points).

Old Murk-Eye - This card not only has Charge like Bluefill Warrior, but just like Murloc Tidecaller it also gains bonus attack points for all your other on the field.  This card can result in devastating amounts of damage.

Leeroy Jenkins - Just nice to have, an extra six damage on Charge (that can also possibly be boosted by Power Overwhelming) is a great utility.  Also if you can play a Voidcaller too, the whelps Leeroy summons for your opponent can't get for him, possibly allowing for yet another attack by him.

Swapping Cards

So in reality you really shouldn't be swapping out any cards, the majority of these cards are required in all Murloc decks for them to be even viable, and in regard to any other cards not seen that way, I've played a couple hundred matches with this deck and this is pretty much as good as it gets for Murlocs,  But if you must know, there are a few cards that you can maybe get by without using, so here they are (plus some cards that might be able to replace them, also with some suggested parings on what swaps to make):

Power Overwhelming And/Or Soulfire For Mortal Coil And/Or Hellfire And/Or Imp-losion And/Or Shadowflame And/Or Siphon Soul And/Or Twisting Nether - If you had to swap in a card, your best choice would probably be a board clear like Hellfire, Shadowflame, or Twisting Nether.  A board clear can be a total life saver in losing situations, it's just generally with Murlock if you aren't in control of the board most of the game, you aren't gonna win anyway.  Single target killing cards like Mortal Coil, Imp-losion, or Siphon Soul can also help you out of a sticky situation plus provide some helpful additional effects.

Young Priestess For Blood Imp - I mentioned my feelings on this earlier, but admittedly there are times when Stealth may be better since it lets the unit ignore single target spells plus attacks from other minions.

Puddlestomper Or Coldlight Oracle For Murloc Raider - Murloc Raider can be killed in all sorts of ways by any class (some more than others) due to all the cards that can dish a single point of damage to instantly kill Murloc Raider while unbuffed.  Puddlestomper simply has a better set of stats and despite the draw power of your hero ability, it's a real convenience to have Coldlight Oracle due to how fast you can mow through your own cards.  But hey, sometimes you just want a lower cost minion for better early starts and quicker combos and Murloc Raider definitely allows for that possiblility.

Knife Juggler And/Or Youthful Brewmaster And/Or Leeroy Jenkins For Flame Imp And/Or Hungry Crab And/Or Leper Gnome And/Or Imp Gang Boss And/Or Void Terror And/Or Lord Jaraxxus - People may be missing these cards so swapping them for another card isn't the most unreasonable thing in the world.  Flame Imp and Leper Gnome are both simply great one mana cards that are good at dealing out damage.  Hungry Crab is one of the most underrated units for Murloc decks and would be around the top of my list for cards to switch in.  Destroying a 1/1 Murloc to play a 3/4 minion that costs only one mana is a great deal no matter how you look at it (also can be used to destroy enemy Murlocs).  Imp Gang Boss simply has good stats and can summon lots of Imps for you.  Void Terror is good for taking two heavily buffed Murlocs and merging them into one super powerful minion.  And finally if you're already in a winning situation, Jaraxxus is good tool for making sure that you stay winning with this powerful weapon and insane hero ability plus being able to possibly give you a life boost.  Now once gain I don't recommend you swap out any cards in the deck, but if you do, I'm giving you really feel the need to, then use some of these safer options.
