Hey, i'm BoomX9, EU player, and here's my new deck - MURLOCS!
So far i am rank 5 and i have to say 1 thing - this deck is unstoppable if u will get start like:
turn 1 Murloc Tidecaller
turn 2 Murloc Tidehunter
turn 3 Coldlight Seer
turn 4 any 1 mana murloc & Murloc Warleader
People were adding me to their friendlist after games, cause u know, murlocs are cool, and everyone likes murlocs.
I will go for legend with this deck in this season (s15), i will probably post my results here.If the deck gets 10 upvotes i will do mulligan guide and post some general strategies.
Enjoy!
MULLIGANS:
First of all - what is "Basic mulligan"
Cards u ALWAYS want to keep vs any class/deck:
Flame Imp
Murloc Tidecaller
Cards u most of the times want to keep:
Knife Juggler
Voidwalker
Murloc Tidehunter
Class mulligans:
Druid:
If u already have good hand ( like Flame Imp and Murloc Tidecaller) u may want to get soulfire to easly deal with bigger taunts.
Hunter:
Basic mulligan for early game + Mortal Coil - it's rly good in this match-up
Paladin:
Same mulligan as for hunter, early game and Mortal Coil, u rly dont like to trade with tokens, but sometimes u must, so it helps a lot.
Priest:
Basic mulligan.
Mage:
Basic mulligan + if u already have nice hand Coldlight Seer
Rogue:
Basic mulligan (as always :D) + Voidwalker is very good here, because of rogue heropower.
Warlock:
Basic mulligan.
Warrior:
Basic mulligan + u might keep Murloc Warleader and Coldlight Seer if u already have ok cards on hand to make sure your murlocs won't die to cards like Whirlwind.
Shaman:
Who plays shaman.. :D But yeah, basic mulligan.
Gameplay!
Also, if u want to ask me for something - feel free, i will answer all the questions! :)
so idk if i've been playing this deck wrong.. but i seem to run out of steam very quickly. any tips?
Tap whenever possible. This also helps you play around AoE. Murlocs and your minions should be scary enough to bait out AoE so just always play around it by tapping. You want them on their back foot always.
With that said, I actually play "Prince Phillip's" take on Murloc, which runs a little more aggressively with more finishing power.
GG and start a new game :P
One of the worst decks ive ever tried to play. 3x legend player and this deck is so rng based its not even funny.
Fantastic deck! Just went 6 win streak and currently at rank 12 easy.
I main shaman and mostly only play shaman.. )):
But fun deck! Its funny when people /concede when you play da murlocs
If you dont pull murlock tide caller turn 1 or flame imp or void walker in your opening hand your chance of winning is reduced 33%
He just throws around statistics like they are accurate what an idiot.
Why not 33.2% why not 30%? do you really keep a database for this info?
no you don't. you can just use the word "greatly reduced" instead of throwing around statistical metrics.
Im sorry I am blunt and honest. I can try to sugar coat things so people are less emotionally triggered by it, but I thought we were all adults. I was wrong.
Actually I do sir. One of the nasty little facts about being a tournament organizer is you live in a world of stats so It becomes second nature for me to record everything I do in this game so to keep track of not only deck performance but to as well to predict when to push an advantage and when to play conservatively. Thank you for making a baseless hateful message proving just how spiteful and angry you are....And if you really want to know the total was 33.04 but I rounded.
A database you can filter for specific mulligan starts? You're so full of it lol ...get out with that bs
Nice deck. Just enough removal to get around much of the early game stall currently floating around the meta. Swapped out one of those finisher Doomguards for a faceless. I found that by the time a doomguard would come out, I often already had a huge board with plenty of buffed murlocs, meaning I could get a copy of the buffed creature as well as another copy of it's aura, buffing yet even more creatures. Not as consistent due to lack of charge but more fun.
What would you think about possibly taking about 1x Doomguard for something like Sea Giant? By turn 5-7 you can generally have a pretty large board and topping off this already unexpected deck with something like a Giant makes you even more of a wildcard throughout the entire game.
I'm running a golden version of this deck and loving it. Thanks for posting!
any suggestions on switching out murk-eye since i dont have it yet?
thanks
Dude you get murk eye if you Collect all murlocs lol
Haha this deck is hilarious!!! MRLGGRLLGRGRLGH!!! This burst potential and the insane early board presence make this guy's deck CRAAAZY!!! Anyways thanks for the post had some good times with this deck :4Head: ! ENJOY MY GAMEPLAY YOH!!!
