Me being bored, I've been playing this deck for almost 3 weeks now and made some slight adjustments to it, thinking about submitting my version of it once I've exhausted my trial runs on ranked ladder. I've made it up to rank 9 with it, currently stuck trying to defeat druids with Mass Taunts and those shaman dudes that run Malygos. My suggestion for this deck:
Ditch 1 Hungry Dragon and One Azure Drake and 1 hunter's mark, add 1 leper gnome and 2 explosive traps. This is to survive against face hunters and mech mages. If you make it to turn 4 with board control or an explosive trap lying in wait to clear his board, the game is yours. Also, it helps drakonoid crusher come online 80% of the time by turn 6/7 since they waste hp/turns activating your traps and dealing with the leper gnome and arrows to the face.
I thought this deck would be mediocre but it's actually pretty good. Very good card synergies. I don't have Dr. Boom so I threw in a random 9-mana dragon, but the game usually ends(in a win) before I get to play either of them.
Edit: Kappa. Deck doesn't hold up in higher rank games
I've had good luck with this deck I don't know about you guys. You play it like a tempo deck that's all.
bad
Crappy deck only getting upboats due to it being showcased on Kripp
This is a lackluster deck that's somehow being upvoted. It'll get you to rank 10, but any deck could do that.
I'm going to be honest and I hope people try not to judge me for it, granted most people are care-bears nowadays. I know there's a lot of Kripp followers that would gladly suck his dick if he presented it on stream. The truth is, Kripp's an alright player with a great understanding of the games fundamentals; I say 'alright' because he's good at arena, but not so much at constructed; and I say fundamentals because he knows how Hearthstone and card games should work. This deck is a constructed deck, and Kripp's experience with Hunter is virtually non-existent. He does as well as the usual player does with decks that other people make. I look at this deck, as I main Hunter, and I promise you this deck is "maybe mediocre." It's a dragon deck with Snake Trap over a Blackwing Technician, and no taunts? 2x mad scientists to proc two different traps? Two Hungry Dragons that's protection is dependent upon having one of three weapons equipped before hand, as the only early game minions to contest the 1-mana drop is Haunted Creeper or a Knife Juggler that's better spent in conjunction with UTH. Come on. I can imagine the only reason it has as many upvotes as it does is because "Kripparian," is in the deck name, and his followers litter the land like a scourge of lemmings ready to follow their leader off a cliff.
Go ahead and watch his stream on twitch, somehow he has 20k viewers most of the time. I don't understand it. He manages to make a really strong arena deck more often than not, but still complains when he loses or if the opponent has a deck nearly as strong as his. In his opinion, his lucky RNG draws are skill-based, while his opponents are all luck. I've honestly never witnessed a more narcissistic person with so many followers, short of the many useless celebrities out there, like the Kardashians or any pop-singer.
All he plays is arena, it does get a little (very) boring sometimes, his stream isn't even entertaining compared to many other streamers and he gets a crap ton of viewers...
Criticizes others for being on Kripp's dick.......proceeds to write fucking paragraphs about Kripp. GG, hater.
He even says in the video that it "can work" and that it's "hit or miss." There are no proclamations about it being a Legend deck or something. It's just a fun concept..get over yourself.
You're so jealous its astounding...
I had the privilege of watching Kripp go 7-1 when he constructed this deck on twitch a few nights ago. It definitely has it's moments.
Mediocre deck, gets thrashed by Solitaire Mage, er, Freeze Mage.
Looks like someone is a little SOLITY about losing to Freeze Mages recently...
Nope, it just looks like this deck doesn't do well against Freeze Mage
Why do people worry about getting wrecked by freeze mage? I haven't seen a freeze mage in over a fucking month.
My experience with this deck is as follows. All done in Ranked mode in the 17 bracket.
Out of 12 games, i won half of them. it was a 6-6. Lost to aggro shamans(2), 2 face hunters, a control priest, and a zoo lock. took down another hunter of this deck(or variation of, seeing he had played all same cards I have in deck, a freeze mage, 2 warriors(not sure if grim, as never got chance to play those cards), a face hunter and a control priest. It really comes down to your draws vs their draws. Unlike playing as a face hunter, you almost always felt that the game is going well for you, while this one is more awkward and unsettling to play as. Could just be my play style.
If they are able to get the board early and hold it past round 4 or 5 it was hard to take back.
I do not have Dr. Boom, or the later mentioned ragnaros to replace him, so went with the stormwind champion as a replacement as it's an anti-BGH card, and still boosts your playing field(i tend to use this card in all boom replacements). Of the 12 games, I had drawn him 2 games, and played once(both games I won). The game I played him on was priest which sealed the fight for me.
For me, overall it's fun when you get all the right cards in the right times you need it, but overall, it's a little clunky feeling and too situational. I hope others have a better experience then I. Granted, 50/50 chance seems to be the norm for hunter decks(face for me is still 60/40 with over hundred wins.
Found some gameplay of it:
drakonid crusher is really good because of the insane early game of this deck, it has a face hunters opener... U can get em to 15 hp no problem and drakonid becomes insane, if anything i would replace a 1x creeper or 1x hungry dragon
Thanks! working well so far.
Right now im 15-3 with this, lost to one tempo mage and 2 grim patron warriors, beaten all face hunters
Did the Snake Trap play a large role in the loss to the grim patron warriors or were the Knife Juggler cards dead in your hand? My first thought when I saw this deck was all the warrior cards I wouldn't want around when those trigger.
