Alright, let's slow things down. Slow down the Hunter-aggro, slow down the Mech-Mages, slow down the Oil Rogues.
Let's bring it to a nice, slow pace where we can work up to Sylvanas Windrunner without having to worry about the game ending.
Let's throw in Freezing Trap and Snipe to keep them back.
Hell, let's destroy rush cards with Abomination and Baron Geddon. And hell, let's keep them going through Kel'Thuzad and put Gahz'rilla in his element.
I love this deck, as it got me from 16 to 11 without breaking a sweat, and I'm still going with it. This unexpected control Hunter yields hilarious results and is guaranteed to slow things down to the point you can go for the kill.
Gadgetzan Auctioneer is the black sheep of this deck, and can very easily be replaced with Gurubashi Berserker to create a damage-fiend or a second Sludge Belcher if you're feeling extra evil. However, I found it has worked quite nicely for me, hiding behind taunts and keeping the card funnel going.
Regardless, you're guaranteed to bring the game to your tempo.
And as always, have fun.
Finally an interesting hunter deck! Gonna give it a try and report back.
Had to swap Rilla and Geddon for Loatheb and Dr. Boom, since I don't have the two of them.
Pretty impressed with this deck so far. Beat a Handlock, Tempo Mage, then Priest in a row. Putting down as many secrets as early as possible and then dropping a taunt completely throws off these deck's tempos.
meant to ask do you think you need a BGH or a silence in this?
Originally I did, yes, but I found running double Hunter's Mark alongside Arcane Shot and Multi-Shot proved far more effective.
Couple that with Freezing Trap and Deadly Shot, and you really have no problem with board removal. I've actually look forward to playing Ramp Druid when I'm running this deck.
Baron Geddon / Ghazrilla Replacements? :(
Hmm... Try a Gurubashi Berserker in place of Gahz'rilla. It will be far less effective, but it works in a similar fashion. For Baron Geddon... I don't know. He's big for board removal and rather unique. Maybe Dr. Boom, being that you should have fairly steady board control by turn 7.
how does this deck fair against things other then aggro? and is card draw ever a problem?
Thanks for asking; I've found that it works surprisingly well against Ramp-Druid and exceptionally well against Miracle Rogue; no, card draw really hasn't been a problem so far on account that 1) many of the cards are situational and 2) Azure Drake, Mad Scientist and Acolyte of Pain keep the flow relatively smooth.
The one massive issue this deck has is against Control Warrior, and is so-so on Priest (Mind Control hurts).
thanks for the quick reply :D
Just saw Whiplash last night--amazing movie. Then I saw this deck list--amazing deck! It's been a pretty good 24 hours for Whiplash-related material.
(Don't have Gahz, so I replaced with Dr. Boom. Good so far!)
Just watched Whiplash over the weekend. Great movie.
