Hi guys! I managed to climb from 0 to Legend with this deck.
The early version was a little different but my win rate was ranging from 52-60%.
It is a really fun deck, I quit years ago and this deck made me come back so I urge you to try it. Really cheap too. I was inspired by MarkMcKz so props to him and make sure to check his channel. He plays other cool decks too. His version was aggressive and I turned it into more of a control deck with crazy burst damage. Melts down 60 hp druids and death knights easily.
Here is proof and Mark's version:
Hello there!
Also saw Marks video about this OTK and tried a Bunch with it myself, with a variant of the deck getting me to D5 last season.
The Biggest weakness i saw in my decks is that you die pretty quickly against the current wild meta (usually turn 5 to 7) and while you do a lot of damage, you dont tend to overkill by a lot.
I have tried Renathal and added cards like Thornmantle Musician , aswell as Warsong Wrangler and Blademaster Okani , but the deck still feels too slow. Emperor Thaurissan feels great if you get the effect off, but he, aswell as Lor'themar Theron also feel too slow.
Your deck is pretty nice and close to what i ended up with, but i couldnt help but wonder about a different playstyle for this deck/combo.
I cannot test it, since i dont have the cards, but imagine a scaling/lategame deck with these potential cards:
Baron Rivendare
Shan'do Wildclaw
Defense Attorney Nathanos
Teron Gorefiend
Deathstalker Rexxar
Hope of Quel'Thalas
What are your thoughts on this sort of deck? I'm imagining a perma-shuffle of porcupines with cards like:
Dire Frenzy
Ramkahen Wildtamer
Photographer Fizzle
or even hand-return like:
Devouring Swarm
Youthful Brewmaster
Zola the Gorgon
My issue atm is, to find some survivability, aswell as enough draw to let the deck be viable whatsoever. What are your thoughts on a lategame Hunter deck like this?
Btw: i love your adaptations from the original porcupine deck; less mech, more beast power:)
Hi Lordinaryus,
Very fun deck! What would you suggest to mulligan for?
Tyvm!
Ty for trying the deck. Most of the time I keep serpent bloom, tracking, play dead, selective breeder, scavenger's, and kennels. Some exceptions: against mage flare, against druid dire frenzy (if you have scavenger's you can follow up very aggressively at turn 3 and 4). Remember, your win condition is the porcupines, so you should always have a copy at hand or deck unless you are desperate.
This deck is very fun my friend . Having a blast with it , thank you !
