Most people understand why it is so tough to create decks and be competitive but there is another layer to the reason. It is called BAD GAME design BAD class design. So every single deck that tries to compete with the Dragons is competing versus a RAMP deck that is faster and a class that cheats the mana so faster and more just means every single similar deck is just a weaker version of Druid.
Druid might be playing with 60 health while Shaman is playing with 30 health so faster mroe mana AND more health lol nice balancing job Blizzard no wonder all the tri hards jumped on Druid.
So the actual deck pros and cons.
Well obviously it has the broken new cards so it ALWAYS has a chance to win, hard mulligan and save your Lightning blooms maybe get Kazakusan out turn 4 lol but guess who else can do that >DRUID.There is one positive pro that Druid does not have and that is this build does have some cards to handle aggro where as Druid struggles badly with fast decks if it doesn't get fast ramp.
HOWEVER......Here is the problem if you que into Druid do you chance they are aggro or ramp?If you play for aggro they simply outrace you to the punch and if you play for Kazakusan and turns out aggro your versatile deck just lost it's versatility.Know what is a SAFER bet....Burn Shaman or Freeze Shaman because you can freeze their boards.
It's designed to handle aggro with good tempo, but just falls short vs most decks in the current meta. It needs more value and impact late game to work.
It's a very tough spot for new decks to shine because as far as Kazakusan goes, no deck can do it better than Druid currently. Sometimes we can compete by getting double Bloom into Kaz on 4 tho! :D But in a month, Druid loses like 90% of its deck so decks like this can compete much better in the late game!
I tried to make a similar deck earlier. I lacked cycling, as even expected. I had +8 cards draw altogether. Your deck has +2. And a whole lot of too much removal. Unless you're playing against aggro druid or pirate warrior, I don't even have to try this deck out to know it won't work.
I mean sure, getting Kazakusan gets you on the road to victory. But with only 2 cycle cards? Only one of the matches in your vid doesn't feature an early Kazakusan, and that steward of scrolls into rockbiter is really a one in a million :D
I wouldn't bash on a deck that can be fun for an off-meta deck, but it's statistically obvious that almost ('almost' thanks to 2 windchills) 50% of games you wont get Kazakusan before turn 13. Shaman is so tedious to play when you just have a hand full of removals and no win condition in sight. I like your content mostly but now it just seems you post any sh*t deck you think of.
I mean you have enough overload cards to at least play Investment Opportunity. I am disapoint son.
Thanks again, i like most of your decks and i will give this deck a try today.
You're welcome, and thank you for checking the deck out! Hope you have fun with it when you try it! :)
Probably dumb question: Any substitutes for Raid Boss Onyxia?
Onyxia is one of the strongest cards in the deck but you could try Alexstrasza instead!
Love the idea, will give it a try tomorrow! Thanks for the deck
Glad you love it! I hope you have fun with it! :)
Mullingans Sir? Thank you!
If the opponent could be aggro, some cheap removal is good to keep otherwise, bloom, caverns, Kaz are the win cons vs slower decks. Studies and Windchill are always safe keeps too
