this deck is super fun and actually works too in diamond
give it a try and let me know your thoughts
currently at diamond 4 (12w/3l)
turn 5 lethal
This is not a "Big DH Deck"
For anyone still interested, i've done quite a bit of testing this weekend and I think I came up with the ultimate list:
The major breakthrough was realizing the problem with the big stuff was their stupid leader. Pit Commander sucks with only 4 total demons and forces you to run more to make it viable, but running 5/6 demons increases your risk of bricking, so I cut it for Tormentor.
Double Tormentor on turn 5/6 can win games on the spot in many matchups, overall the deck is waaay better now, and the unpolished version took me to legend easily already, making this list a top tier 2 imo.
Thalnos is the flexible spot, its just there for spell dmg/draw redundancy, you can change it for any tech rly, im using Librarian rn cuz theres lots of Priest and Druid in legend.
Cheers!
I've won 1/5 but the 1? I had all the demons on board on turn 5, was strong
Got legend yesterday with a modified version of this list, pretty fun deck!
Cutted Fury, Illidari Studies, Vanguard and Chaos Leech for Thalnos, Immolation Aura, 2nd Reckoning and Commander, 1x Tormentor and Caria.
Vanguard sucks rn, you will never have a board early against rogue, so its better to focus on removing their board, drawing and preparing a big swing turn with reckoning - faceless.
Turns out that Jace is the perfect counter to Shadowcrafter Scabbs, good catch! He clears the 4/2 shadows while recasting reckoning, giving you another chance at a big swing turn!
I have a positive winrate against poison rogue, since they are less aggressive early. thief rogue is a pain, but no one can target both at the same time so whatever, great deck nonetheless.
Code pls
At some point the rogue plague started becoming unbearable so i made more changes, doing much better now on dumpster legend lmao.
The 26 dmg combo is irrelevant against rogue so dont feel bad about playing the combo pieces for tempo.
Always keep Viper, Reckoning and Kurtrus on mulligan, the rest is self-explanatory.
can you please briefly describe how to play the deck? Im kinda new to DH but got all the cards.
Thanks a lot.
climbed from D5 to D3 with this list, gonna hopefully see it through to legend.
Initially went 7-2 but a few games of really slow draws turned it quickly to 8-5, I've made some changes to adjust for this, currently 3-1 with new version but deck feels a lot smoother.
Changes: -2x Battleworn Vanguard, -1x Need for Greed, -1x Expendable Performers , -1x Pit Commander
+2x Sigil of Alacrity, +2x Skull of Gul'dan, +1x Caria Felsoul
mana cheat from skull is huge and fairly easy to outcast after taking out a couple of the most expensive cards
Caria feels much better to play than pit commander as it leaves the inquisitor in deck, you can attack face same turn and its not a demon so sigil will always pull inquisitor
i really like the Battleworn Vanguard for early game
and i aggre with the mana cheat with Skull of Gul'dan but it is painful when you can not outcast it and the Need for Greed is tradable which is good imo
maybe we can cut one Expendable Performers i do not how it will work need to test it
and the reason for Pit Commander is combine it with Faceless Manipulator which will pull out the Inquisitors
5 mana: Sigil of Reckoning
6 mana: Copy the Pitlord with Faceless
next turn you win if the can not deal with the board
if they can, yes you lose all of you big demons thats true but still have 2 win conditions
i am considering to put in a Battleground Battlemaster
that could be a huge combo with the Inquisitors
let me know you thoughts
Too many cards for one combo.
Tbf the main reason I took out Battleworn Vanguard was cos of mages getting the HK on them from siphon mana, but I am very impressed with 1 drop sigil as a replacement as the deck has a lot of early removal as it is
I might take out 1 skull to put the 2nd Expendable Performers back in as you sometimes you do need one just for removal against rogues n palas
You may be right about pit commander but personally it only felt good if pulled from sigil which is rare since there's only 1 of each, playing it on 9 or 10 mana felt easy for the opponent to deal with the 8/8
Be good if there was room for Caria & pit but haven't figured out how to do it, let me know if you think it could work
what if we cut 1 Faceless for Caria?
Been trying 1 Caria 1 pit and I'm liking it, Caria copying the pit feels real nice
:D
