Hello, I am Wanadoes, a relatively new player (joined on Darkmoon).

As many of you, I have struggled to find my place in this expansion and wasn’t enjoying the game as much as in the previous months. I have had some success with this deck and decided to share it with you because it’s tactical and fun to play.

How do I play it?

The point of this deck is to make your opponent hesitate to use his cards and deviate from pre-defined strategy. Secrets play crucial role in this – normally it doesn’t even matter what secret we play, the opponent needs to consider a possibility that it might be Oh My Yogg!.

As we make our opponent sweat, we focus on swarming the deck with minions. It is crucial to keep enough cards in hand and limit the number of minions on the opponent’s side. For this, Peasant, Knight of Anointment, Righteous Protector, Hand of A'dal, Alliance Bannerman, and Northwatch Commander are essential. In addition, our secrets also help in securing the deck, on top of confusing the opponent.

When we have a solid control of the deck and we understand the strategy of the opponent, we continue with strategic (discover) cards while going face. Is healing needed? Good, you will surely discover some with Pandaren Importer and Venomous Scorpid. More buffs for our minions? Shouldn’t be a problem. Area damage? You are most likely covered.

The most strategic card of which usage we need to consider deeply is Kazakus, Golem Shaper. On many occasions, it is a card which can either finish the game, or return us to it.

What cards are in my opinion best for start?

No coin start:

Peasant, any secret, Knight of Anointment, Hand of A'dal, Noble Mount, Murgur Murgurgle

We always try to play any secret as the first card – should our opponent play quest, then it will force him to use coin first and only then quest. The second best card to start is Peasant which if supported correctly will help us with donation of cards.

Coin start:

Sword of the Fallen, Murgur Murgurgle, Knight of Anointment, Righteous Protector

Should we get sword of the fallen, then we use it together with coin.

How does this deck stands in ranked?

This deck has been tested on 24 games on a ranked range Platinum – Diamond, with 17 recorded wins, it has 71% win rate.

The most favorable opponents are Quest Shaman (3 games, 3 wins), Druid (3 games, 3 wins), Quest Mage (2 games, 2 wins) and Deathrattle Demon Hunter (2 games, 2 wins). Deck stands very well against warlock (4 games, 3 wins) where a single loss has been recorded against a combination of quest / burn warlock.

The least favorable matches are with classes which can effectively swarm deck with minions: Warrior (1 game, 0 wins), Shadow Priest (1 game, 0 wins), Handbuff Paladin (4 games, 1 win) and Elemental Shaman (2 games, 1 win).

Even losses were fun and long games with a chance to win with this deck.

Any alternative cards?

Peasant is the card I am the most unsure with. It can provide solid start if we have it immediately in hand but it is often sniped right after use by opponent. Wandmaker, Snack Run or Blessed Goods might be valid alternatives.

Noble Mount is the second card where I have a certain hesitation. Perhaps First Day of School or Conviction Rank 1might provide more value to some of you.

Anything else?

Please, let me know your thoughts on this deck, strategy and alternatives. Would love to see how other people feel about it!
