Hearthpwn

Tried different versions, got to legend with this one. As I played quest warlock since it got available, reaching legend with it in such bad meta for control warlock seems like a proper goodbye. So how does this version differ from the others?

This one is absolutely focused on lifegain running full soul shards package, Aranasi Broodmother and Khartut Defender. And yes, Stealth Rogue or Secret Mage may still deal damage faster than you heal, OTK decks don't really care about it, but many games you are able to heal from a really low health to full in no time (especially with huge Plot Twist). And even though soul shards might seem like antisynergystic with Tome of Origination, this is still like priest hero power with additional draw, which is not bad at all.

Lifegain doesn't win you games though. This deck wins with 3 things - endless primes from Envoy Rustwix/Felosophy/Kanrethad Ebonlocke, Tickatus/Y'Shaarj, the Defiler or C'Thun, the Shattered. The last one is played more often than you can expect, this deck lets you collect all parts really fast.

Besides lifegain package, plot twist package and win conditions all else is just removal. Special nod to Hysteria which is the best single target removal spell being aoe at the same time and Soulciologist Malicia who doesn't win the game but surely gives you huge tempo swing.

Cards that did not make a cut though you can see them in other versions: Vectus, Sense Demons, The Dark Portal, Free Admission, Fire Breather are just too slow or too weak/situational, or only good in late game.

And that's it, hope Control Warlock will be playable in new meta even without Supreme Archaeology/Plot Twist combo.
