Hello, now I'll tell you how to FACE
Face Hunter is a traditional old deck of Hearthstone, but now it is more powerfull than ever. I got legend about in 3 hours of playing on this deck (started on platinum).
[Currently working on new Hunter's deck, check it]
Last 11 games before I got legend:
About mulligan:
Good cards for a start hand are: Toxic Reinforcements + Tour Guide + Phase Stalker, and of course Imprisoned Felmaw. Maybe Ironbeak Owl against rogues. You don't need other cards in start hand, but they will help you to deal damage in a middle game.
Main combinations:
1) Toxic Reinforcements + Tour Guide + Phase Stalker are the best beginning.
2) Timber Wolf + Unleash the Hounds is a middle game powerful combo against shaman, demon hunter etc. so you dont need to play timber wolf without it or without Kill Command
Game plan:
You need to gain as much damage as you can in early game from cards, that can't deal damage through taunted units, such as Jungle Panther, Wolfrider or Eaglehorn Bow, and then just kill FACE with 5 Leper Gnomes on a board.
Matchups:
Very good: warlocks (our food), demon hunters, mages
Good: shamans, druids, other hunters
Normal: bomb-warriors, paladins and rogues (prepare your Ironbeak Owl)
Bad: PRIESTS (33% winrate against), control-warriors
[UPD3] Current stats from hsreplay (28.12.20):
[UPD] Some replacements
Jungle Panther x2 can be replaced with more powerful and expensive cards like Dragonbane + Rinling's Rifle.
Or Jungle Panther x2 --> Frozen Shadoweaver 2x, that's good replacement too, but Kill Command will have less synergy in the deck.
[Upd2] I've just discovered this card Teron Gorefiend, that must be very good reinforcement for the deck because of synergy with Toxic Reinforcements, Leper Gnome and Kobold Sandtrooper. Will test it soon)
Thank you for the kind words)
Pretty nice deck, from plat 10 to diamond 10 ez grind, after that it gets obliterated by the diamond pally crew.....
Thanks for the great deck!
At the moment, the winrate 70%. 46-20. D5
Thank you a lot for your statistic, cause I'm too busy at the moment to play hearthstone and give mine own(
I guess the meta has changed in 3 days. I am at a 41% win rate with 12-17, P10.
There are too many ways that you can instantly lose and there is no other win conditions.
Some examples:
Overall I am not convinced that this a deck that can get you a fast 51% win rate, in order to advance.
The people that are posting here are probably outliers(lucky) and not the average player.
The old face hunter and aggro shaman were on another level, this one tries to mimic them but for most players, it will fail.
I have watched your replays...
Against mages you had really bad hand without any starting cards.
Against warlock there was a missplay to play Phase Stalker on a second turn, you should do your hero power in that situation, play Phase Stalker + hero power on turn 4 and wait for your silence owl.
Against rogue there was very bad mulligan, damaging deathrattles should be playing in middle game for finishing.
About shamans: this matchup pretty good for the deck, even with goldfish shaman's start (if there not too many taunts from evolution)
About paladins: this matchup is not so good, but it still possible to push them before turn 6-7 (winrate is about 50% vs them)
You are right, thanks for the tips. I guess small misplays with bad luck cost me many games.
I am now at 28-27, P5.
I think *when* you are playing is also a small factor. In the afternoon I get many bad players against me who I can outvalue.
Also maybe at different MMR, you get a different mix of opponents. I had very weird games with opponents being anti-aggro in my first games and now it has kind of evened out. Grinding and playing like 150-200 this should even out even more.
So I guess the 60% win rate that hsreplay.net reports must be valid
My only advice is don’t be disillusioned by the praise the deck is receiving. It’s good, not great. Obviously a F2P godsend, but you’re playing a different, greedier hearthstone that doesn’t translate to most other decks- even aggro. I personally don’t like decks where you win or lose by turn 6, but this one looks like it could snowball if you have a lucky streak. I went 6-4, deck is respectfully a 5 or 6/10 overall, probably an 8/10 for F2P grinding.
I have large collection of cards, even hunter's class, but I prefered to take legend with this deck, because it was effective, not because it's cheap
In rare cases i try these face deck out... and after 5-6 games im almost falling a sleep.. sooo boring.
Try to take pleasure of beating cancer shamans)
In diamond the winrate decays a lot. I'm troubling with Wolfrider. Sure it's a good addittion to the deck?
At turn 3 he constantly deals 3 face damage and exchanges 1 by 1 with some minion or dealing 3 more face damage if enemy using weapon to kill him
Besides it's very fun to win with deck, where are used Wolfriders, isn't it?)
Nice Deck!
Went 15-5 from D5 to my first Legend!!! MY FIRST LEGEND!!!!
Lost vs DH 2 times and evolve Shaman 3 times.
Holy shit my first legend ever, thank you so much for this deck!
Can't believe that Warlock is indeed a free win
Congrats)
Warlocks are too slow, this deck more afraid of zoo-warlocks
If this deck beats evolve shaman consistently then yeah, people at rank diamond 5-1 should play it to get to legend. But in legend I can't find this deck doing that well, there are not as many shaman players but instead you will face a lot of rogues followed by paladins and priests.
Yeah, you're right, in legend much more contol decks and rogues
This deck is incredibly bad. Is this a troll?
Nope, this deck has higher winrate than other decks I've played climbing to legend
