equal parts spell-hunter, control-hunter, and aggro.

It's a pretty aggressive deck and with the synergy and discover/add cards--it's pretty easy to mount an offense and sustain pressure.  Several ways to clear the board between poisonous Primordial Explorer, Rotnest Drake, and the poisonous effect of Professor Slate with the damage-dealing spells contained in this deck.

Hunter's 1-cost spell palette is pretty useful as 1/4 spells (in standard) deal damage, for some nice utility with Professor Slate and both Wandmaker and Cobalt Spellkin adding to your hand--there's a good chance to get what you need and even if it's of fringe benefit--the spell will at worst trigger the effect of Krolusk Barkstripper for control opportunities.

I use Dragon Breeder primarily on Rotnest or Primordial but use it as as the situation demands.

Frizz Kindleroost isn't necessary but her effect surely does help the cause for a pressure offense (aggro-play) and helps to keep the board populated early.

Ace Hunter Kreen is really just there for an opportunity to trade kills without the penalty of sustaining damage yourself (via Stormhammer) or by your minions.
